Another great day for BLXC! At the KCXC Classic at Ray-Pec, our athletes ran 19 Season Bests (out of 39 runners), 14 of which were Lifetime Bests! Cole Hubbard, with today’s standout performance, is bringing home a 19th place medal and notched a #2 All-Time BLXC performance. Our Varsity girls had a very notable performance with 6 athletes running Season Bests, 4 of those were Lifetime Bests. This coach could not be more proud of their work ethic, and the love and support for each other. They’ll be back in action on Thursday afternoon at Shawnee Mission Park.

An absolute treat of a day at Rim Rock Farm! It was long, it was hot, the course is a beast, the competition was fierce - and these kids did incredible! Varsity Girls finished 2nd out of 24 - led by Henley Erickson with a 16th place finish. Varsity Boys finished 2nd out of 25 teams - led by Ben Karleskint with a 5th place finish, Fletcher Turney in 11th, and Cole Hubbard in 20th. Our athletes posted 16 season bests and 10 lifetime bests AND had a blast spending time together. What a special sport.

A GREAT day to be a Bobcat runner! BLXC absolutely dominated at the Tonganoxie Invite. Varsity Girls posted a perfect score, finishing 1-7. Varsity Boys with 20 points and a win. JV Girls with a NEAR perfect score of 16. JV Boys with a perfect score, finishing 1-9. Bobcats swept the team titles and the individual champions - Henley Erickson in the Varsity Girls, Cole Hubbard in the Varsity Boys, Emery Edwards in the JV Girls, and Ben Dugdale in the JV Boys. We also had 28 Season Best performances and 18 Lifetime Best Performances AND Cole Hubbard ran a #4 All-Time BLXC performance. All of this was on a very difficult course! This coach is proud and ready for a nap. Catch these incredible humans in action next Saturday (9/27) at Rim Rock!

Much fun was had. A VERY toasty race at Jones Park in Emporia resulted in 2 medalists and 8 athletes with new personal bests! Cole Hubbard finished 19th in a talented field, leading the boys squad to a 6th place finish out of 18 teams. Henley Erickson placed 11th in a fierce field of girls - running a #4 All-Time BLXC 5K. Girls team finished 8th behind some larger schools. Additionally, our JV Boys and Girls ran strong - with the boys finish 6th out of 24 teams; the JV Girls scores did not calculate, but we’re proud of them. We finished the day with ice cream (and too much chocolate milk) at Braum’s - always a good time.

A beautiful day for the Bobcat Invite 2025! #1 thing to celebrate - the heart of these kids. They went out and COMPETED! Highlights - 28 Bobcats set a 5K Personal Record today, Girls finished 3rd as a team, Boys finished 2nd as a team, Cole Hubbard ran a #7 BLXC All-Time Performance, and Henley Erickson ran a #1 BLXC All-Time Performance/School Record! This was all accomplished on a very tough course, and this coach could not be more excited. Catch them in action next Saturday (9/13) at Jones Park in Emporia. Bobcats, we run!
