Mingus 2026! So grateful for our big band to have won first place in our division this year. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come so far in this journey not only as individuals but as a collective. Thank you to everyone in the @mingusbigband that played a part in the festival for sharing all of your wisdom as well as the legacy of Charles Mingus.

Yay NSJE!! Love you all 🫶☺️

It was truly an incredible experience to participate in Essentially Ellington this year!! I can’t put into words how much I gained from this festival. The community, the culture and the music were all so beautiful and inspiring, and this was truly a life changing experience. I am endlessly grateful for everyone who made this possible 🫶 So thankful to be a part of this band and make music with you all!!

This was a truly incredible weekend at the Mingus festival that culminated winning the outstanding soloist award and getting to sit in with Eric Mingus and Mingus Big Band on “Don’t Let Them Drop That Atomic Bomb On Me”. I learned so much, but mainly that all you really need is the blues. Other clips may come later. Full video from Joe’s Pub will be linked in bio.
