Dear soccer,
Thank you for the best 13 years of my life. 13 years of memories, friendships, injuries, and adversity that made me stronger along the way. From being the little boy playing because of wanting to score goals and eat the post game snacks to simply falling in love with the beautiful game. The pregame jams in the locker room to the bus rides home after games, it’s the little things I’ll miss the most. These past 4 years at Floyd became so much more than soccer; it became my second home, and these boys became the brothers I never had.

This season tested us in every way possible. With only 2 seniors, a young team, and half our coaching staff leaving, we faced more adversity than most will ever understand. We had a rough start to the the season when we played 6 top 10 teams in the state. We had one of the toughest roads through the tournament, but we never backed down. We had the heart. We fought together and came out sectional champions. That title means so much more than a trophy because of everything it took to get there.

These boys will always have a place in my heart, and I’ll forever be grateful for the memories, the lessons, and the brotherhood we built. Thank you, Floyd, for giving me a second home and 4 years I’ll never forget. I want to thank every single teammate, and coach along the way. Thank you to my parents for always believing in me and pushing me to be the player I am, I simply wouldn't be close to the player I am without you. Thank you to all my friends along the way who have came and supported me as I can not thank you enough. 13 years of playing the game I love it's not a goodbye it's simply see you soon. #13 signing off.
