Netflix and Chill redefined in 2026. The theme for the Cinema Club currently is Sci-Fi / AI. We live in interesting times and thought that watching movies that explore the nuances of the world we live in would be a great way to have open format discussions. Our first two movies have been The AI Doc: How I Became an Apocaloptimist and Ex-Machina. Next up: HER

Cappadocia 🇹🇷 1.12.24 This trip was inspired by @benbohmermusic - my brother and I discovered his Cercle set a few years before we took this trip and had it on repeat ever since. 🎶 If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend checking it out. It's set in Cappadocia, Turkey, and Ben plays an ethereal set rich with emotion as the sun rises over the mountain tops. 🌄🎼🎹🌅 Before this picture was ever taken, earlier in that same year, Judah & I had booked a hot air balloon flight in Utah for our trip to Zion National Park. Unfortunately, the night right before our flight was meant to take off, the owner of the hot air balloon company sent us a text to let us know that the air pressure was too low, so we wouldn't be able to fly tomorrow morning. We were disappointed. But, we chose to keep a positive mental attitude. I remember Judah shrugging it off, saying "ah well, it didn't work out. but all good fam. we'll probably just go hot air ballooning in Turkey or something." -- as if it was just an afterthought. Little did we know... he was right. And it would be only 8 months later that we boarded the basket on that chilly winters night before dawn to take off to the skies and experience a once in a lifetime opportunity that took our breath away - in the same place Ben played his set all those years before. The beauty of the natural landscape made for an unforgettable experience. But to add to those immaculate vibes, our Pilot, whose name was Hakan, was cracking jokes left and right. He was hilarious, entertaining and used storytelling to educate us about the history of the city. This led us to hiring him as our tour guide for the rest of the day. Hakan took us all around the town and showed us underground cities, Turkish rug shops, camel rides in the snow, and more. 🇹🇷☕️🐫📜🕌 I experienced acts of kindness from strangers in this city in ways that moved me to my core. Cappadocia was a magical place, and Turkey was my favorite country I have visited so far. ~ For My Digital Diary: Zion ~ 5.30.23 . . . “Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it time runs out.” - Oliver Wendall Holmes . . . 3.18.26 I used to post consistently on Instagram. And then one day I just… stopped. It took me a long time to understand why. Sometimes you don’t realize the relationship you’re in is oppressive until you’re out of it. I look back now at these pictures that feel like the distant past and ask myself, “how could I have given so much of my power away?”. I let him take over my world. He didn’t like the attention I got from posting pictures online. I didn’t want him to feel bad. So, I stopped posting them. My creative expression made him uncomfortable. And instead of listening to my intuition and leaving, I chose to stay. For 3 years too long. They say that creative life force energy lies in our sacral chakra, which is coincidentally the same chakra that represents our sexuality, sensuality and passion. When this chakra is blocked, it can be hard to create. Or, maybe you can still create, but the blockage prevents you from sharing your creations with the world. Life is too short to stop ourselves from creating, or to play small just to make other people feel comfortable It took me finally leaving that relationship and also getting sober to wake up and realize I wasn’t living in alignment with my purpose, and that I needed to make some big changes. Slowly over the past year I’ve started to transform again and begin to create more and more. I’ve decided that I won’t die with my music inside of me. Creating is important to me, and I want to share my creations and passions with all of y’all - the people I know and love, who make my life special. Thanks for being a part of my journey so far.
