Carol DeFeo, my beloved mother passed away yesterday morning peacefully surrounded by love and triumph having fought the good fight and winning the ultimate prize of freedom. She went to be with the Lord and to heal in heaven, as her illness had gone too far and simply was too much to come back from after exhausting EVERY possibility.. An unstoppable force she lived everyday the ideal that there was always a way to get it done. She broke stereotypes trampled boundaries and simply would not listen when told it could not be done. She was a daughter, a nurse, a mother, a business woman, a Nana and most of all a child of God. She followed her faith and was simply impossible to bridle. She taught us that you simply MUST persist even if misunderstood, and that your dreams matter and all should be counted. We miss you terribly already and know we will meet again.
