Ages ago I made these hand printed vouchers for my first and few visitors. Still more to give, watch this space. When I find a nice space I’ll be dishing out a new release.

An eye for an eye 👁️

I did this years ago and admittedly the paper texture wasn’t ideal to work with, onwards and upwards though.

I’ll be honest, this is a perfectionist nightmare

There’s nothing more humbling than doing this, but I want to get back into practicing the basics. Using @tattooing101’s practice sheets.

This is also a gesture to myself to not take posting too seriously, and that there will be wobblies behind the scenes.

Any tips, do share.

Referencing some old school flash, swipe to see them.

The simpler the flash the harder it is because there’s really no room for error! But it’s a good reminder to go back to the basics and get them right before going to the next step.

A little flower flash for the trad lovers 💐

Working on my traditional tattoo flash collection, one flower at a time. Playing around with shapes and bold lines to find what makes a flower feel trad.

Got a fav?

Practicing some spit shading using some old school traditional tattoo flash.

It’s taken me ages to figure out spit shading and I’m still in the early stages of exploring it. But these simple designs means I can play around it with it while learning in the meantime. Is it perfect? No, but it’s worth sharing as I track my progress and embrace jmperfections. If you have any tips, do share!

I’m using Daler Rowney black acrylic ink and two paintbrushes for simplicity.

My name is Ella, I’m based in Bristol (UK) and entering the early stages of my tattoo career. Having left 8 years in art world, I’m going back to the basics to see how far I can get in tattooing, something I’ve been wanting to pursue since 2021.

My page consists of experiments, drawing, and practicing in the hopes of landing an apprenticeship.

I made these pill boxes ages ago for my Bristol folks and they were a big success. Maybe I’ll make some more.
