Stars MS Academy - Session 7 Recap 🏀

The girls put in serious work on the court last night! We sharpened up our handles with wall touches and 4-cone hand-eye drills, before diving deep into Pick & Roll execution—working on both passing options and scoring off the bounce from both sides of the floor. We wrapped things up with live 3v3 and 4v4 scenarios to help the girls read play actions and execute on the fly. We’re just scratching the surface of these live concepts, but they are catching on quick!

We were so blessed to have rising junior and Lipscomb Academy PG, Ella Johnson, pour into the girls off the court. Ella spoke about the powerful connection between God’s Word and how we fuel our bodies.

Digging into 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, and Romans 12:1, she reminded the girls that our bodies are temples, and caring for them is a form of worship and stewardship. We drew up a “nourishing plate” to show them how balancing proteins, carbs, fruits, and veggies allows them to perform optimally—both on the court and in daily life.

Today’s homework is to track meals and count carbs/proteins. This discipline isn’t about restriction, weight, or body image - it’s entirely about learning how to properly FUEL the incredible temples God has given them!
