My Smelly.

I blinked and she turned into the prettiest girl in the world.

Getting a new baby sister at 12 felt insane in the moment and exciting all in one. She was the chubbiest dark haired baby that looked nothing like us. I questioned if they took home the right kid. (Ask Kim), but she quickly became the blonde diva we all love and adore.

She was my sidekick growing up. Having a 4 year old sister in high school was the peak of our entertainment. She gave us dress up shows, dance performances, and always wanted to have sleepovers in our rooms.

She doesn’t know it, but it was one of the greatest times in my life getting to take her to ice cream after coaching her softball games, watching her do terrible at dance, and laugh at how confident she was in all she did. I loved spending time with her and when I get the chance to now she makes me laugh just as hard.

She IS the most confident girl in the room and always has been. I’ve always loved that about her. She believes in herself and shows people how easy it is to love yourself.

She is driven and outgoing and ultimately way too sassy for anyone’s liking but she keeps us laughing and was a missing puzzle piece to our Brady bunch.

I used to drive her in her booster seat and now she’s dropping me off at the airport asking when I will see her again.

I’ve selfishly missed most of her teenage years traveling, and growing in my own life but I hope she always knows how proud I am of her and how much I see myself in her. And wherever I am in the world, I’d drop anything for another sleepover.

To my little bell, happy happy birthday <3

I love you forever.
