Teammate Tuesday! Today we are introducing Ella Hopkins from the 2025-2026 team.

Howdy! My name is Ella Hopkins, and I am a sophomore Animal Science major from Aledo, Texas. This is my second year on the ranch horse team, and I could not be more excited for this semester! I am riding my personal horse Look Bak Bar Chick or “Juniper!” I have been riding horses since I was little, but competitively showing for only the past few years. Already, the team has pushed me to become a better person and rider. I am super blessed to call this place home for the next four years! Looking forward to a fun season!

The joy of the Lord in photos!

I’m extremely grateful for the ways the Lord has moved in my life and in so many others the past three summers. The heart of city is so special to me and I wish I had words to describe the millions of ways God chooses to display His love and His majesty through the ministry of camp. He is so good, this I am sure.

there are so many words i could use to describe this summer, but i don’t think any of them could fully capture what the Lord has done. somehow, in His perfect kindness to me, He brought together a group of people i never could have found on my own and gave me the privilege of walking through a summer that changed me from the inside out. every conversation, every hard day, every laugh, every camper, every counselor: it all serves as a reminder that the Lord is intentional. getting to share the gospel with kids has been my greatest joy! watching them ask honest questions, worship without hesitation, and trust Jesus with the kind of faith He calls all of us to have has encouraged me more than they will ever know. i’ve been constantly reminded that the gospel is just as beautiful on the hundredth telling as it is on the first. it reminded me that true joy is found in serving. a supernatural joy that we could never create on our own! this summer the Lord has given me a glimpse of His perfect faithfulness and unfailing love through people. i already miss it more than i can say, but I’m so thankful that the God who met me here is the same God who goes with me into every season after!

praise God for 5 weeks at pine cove city!!!!

how do i even describe camp? essentially, i got to road trip around texas and preach the Gospel!! camp was full of so many sweet moments, from getting to teach my kids some of my favorite Bible stories, to huge slamma games, from chasing my campers during foam party to pump-and-jumping with a cicada skin. it was a month full of smiles, jumping, and just dance.

God is so good!! i saw him working so much these last few weeks. the harvest really is plentiful!! the biggest thing he taught me was that i have to depend on him for every single thing, because i absolutely could not do camp in my own strength. 2 corinthians 12:9-10; his power is made perfect in my weakness! when i was weak, he was strong.

i have never experienced Biblical community like i did this past month. genuinely i got to work with the coolest people ever. i love team edge SO MUCH and am so thankful for how God used us to further his kingdom this summer!!!

some might say it was awesome!!

I am so grateful that God brought me back to Pine Cove City for another 5 weeks getting to spread the gospel to campers throughout Texas!! I was reminded every day to look up and depend fully on the Lord giving him all the glory! I’m so thankful for team Edge and the joyful and encouraging people they are!! Miss it already!!

So incredibly blessed to spend 5 weeks surrounded in the Lord’s goodness. “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12. Pine Cove Summers forever!!
