Compassion is the Best Valentine, our February project, went amazing! This week, Pre-Health Club members created Valentine’s Day cards for the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, as we created 250 cards that will be distributed across the state of MS to youth with juvenile diabetes. We hope our sweet messages will continue to spread the love we have for youth in Mississippi. Thank you so much to all our club members who created cards, as we simply couldn’t do it without y’all’s dedication. We hope everyone has a sweet Valentine’s Day, and make sure to stay tuned for our March project coming soon!!❤️💕💗

What an incredible morning with the MS Public Health Institute!! Pre-Health club members had an amazing time today packing Narcan emergency kits for the @ms_public_health_institute, as we packed 144 kits that will be distributed to first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, school bus drivers, teachers, etc.) all across the state of Mississippi. Thanks to these dedicated members, more people could be saved from an opioid overdose and be given a second chance. THANK YOU to those who came out today and the MS Public Health Institute for having us, as we seriously couldn’t do it without y’all, and we hope everyone has a great Winterfest weekend. Make sure to stay warm, and we’ll be back soon with our February project! ❄️🧣🧤

The Pre-Health Club finished out our October project with a bang this past Thursday! Our Halloween themed blood drive was a success, as we worked with our beloved school nurse, Mrs. Kathy Sheffield to promote the blood drive by putting up posters around the school, encouraging high school students to consider donating blood to potentially save others’ lives, and even having a meeting dedicated to spreading awareness on the importance of donating blood. We had 17 high school students come out and give blood, as this translates to 51 lives possibly saved. We would like to give a HUGE thanks to our students who donated blood, as this impact would not be possible without your dedication to serving others. We would also like to thank our club volunteers who assisting those at @mississippibloodservices with any tasks they needed during the drive and our Chairman of Service, Shelby Grant for organizing this project and running all the planning behind the scenes. Stay tuned for our final check presentation from our quarter 1 project to the Jackson Free Clinic coming soon!

Create for a Cause was a success! Last week, the service sector of the Pre-Health Club held our September project, as we had an amazing time making encouragement & birthday cards for the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi. We successfully created 204 cards, as these will be distributed to youth with diabetes all across the state of Mississippi. We would like to thank the members who devoted their time last week to making cards, our Chairman of Service Shelby Grant who organized this project, and those at @msdiabetes for donating all the supplies to further our mission of spreading love and compassion to youth around the state of Mississippi💙 Stay tuned for more of our projects coming soon!
