$It's the city that never sleeps Lagos, I hail oo Rofiat Alli is repping #Lagos in her Task 3 Submission ( Rep your City: Pre-Covid 19 vs the Present) #Repost @damorealli (@get_repost) ・・・ Fridays used to mean something to us. Before 2020. Before March. Before Coro visited town. It meant Club nights, drinks with the girls/boys, weekend getaways, wedding turn-ups, movie dates, picnic with the ones that matter and so on, so we typically had the following kinds of Friday people: 1. The Woohoo girl/guy - Awon club stormers. Set awon jaiye jaiye. The no dull moment geng. If it's not planning for the wedding turn up, it is chilling with the girls at Danfo bistro or something quite as nice. Work hard, play twice as hard. 2. The Zombies - the mechanical battery-operated working class people. The ones that spend Friday dreading the fact that another Monday is just three days away. What a bummer, right! 3. The Parent - Forget about it. Except your children are at Grandma's, the week continues. Take a rain check, baby. 4. Mr or Mrs No plans - The ones that hardly get invited to anything much to their chagrin. They low key be eyeing their phone, sending 'hey, what's up' hoping an occasion turns up. It hardly does. 5. The Weekend Binger - From Fifty Shades of Grey to Community to Ozark to Money Heist to Jane the Virgin. Anything and everything. Sleep. Snack. Movie. Repeat. You get the drill. 6. The 'Perpetually working cant be bothered about weekends' geng- what is a weekend? They churn out emails all Friday night while you're chilling at the bar, set work meetings on Saturday morning by 1:00am and expect you to be punctual. Its just for 2hrs 45 minutes, 3 seconds. Be there! They allocate tasks on Saturday afternoons and ask you to deliver latest by Monday morning. Long story short, take a rain check on your weekend, baby. Which one were you before Coro and which one are you now?
