Years ago, I was told about this magical place called Bear Lake Camp, and since then I have spent every summer possible there, and eventually at Camp Otyokwah.

Now, 13 years later, I know it’s not a magical place by the world’s definition, but rather one that is filled to the brim with grace, with community, with truth, with love and with comfort, with joy, and above all, with the presence of The Lord. Words really can’t do justice to express the love and thankfulness that fill my heart when I think of these two camps and the people The Lord has placed in my life because of them. There are pieces of my walk with Christ woven into almost every corner of these camps, and I am grateful for every summer that has helped shape who I am today. This summer has got to be my most favorite one yet!

Thank you Bear Lake, thank you Otyokwah, THANK YOU JESUS !!!

Another summer at church camp that filled my heart more than I could've imagined. Forever thankful for the countless ways God moved, every camper, friendship, campfire, meaningful conversations, and memory made this summer that will stick with me forever 🏕️✨

What a summer 👏🏼👏🏼

It was beyond special to be part of the Otyokwah staff this summer. The friendships, the growth, the joy, the challenge, the fun, the memories, and most importantly- the ways that the lord has been moving in and through the staff and campers. It’s been such a blessing to be part of this team and I’m so thankful for the experience I had!

Thank you God for Oty

The past 8 weeks have been the most exhausting, yet rewarding weeks of my life. Working at a summer camp was something I’ve wanted to do for ever, and this year was very special. Between teaching the kids dances, going down the slip n slide, tightening life jackets, working in the kitchen, square dancing, playing black light dodgeball, and just sharing the good news with the campers, it was truly the best time of my life. I’m so blessed for the laughter, the tears, the joy, the sweat, and even the blood that was spilled throughout this summer. To the staff: I’m so grateful for each and every one of you, and I’m so glad we became the Oty “ay-ay” family. And to my campers: I hope you left camp knowing Jesus is worthy of our praise, and He loves you so so much and wants to know you. I’m so glad I got to spend my summer praising my Lord. Can’t wait for next year:)
