Burning Man was nothing like I expected.

It’s wildly misunderstood from the outside. On the Playa, your money, status, success, and ego mean absolutely nothing. No one cares what you do, what you have, or who you are back home.

What matters is compassion, empathy, love, connection, and what you’re willing to share with the people around you.

When all of the things we normally use to define ourselves are stripped away, people meet each other differently. There’s a radical acceptance that allows you to be completely yourself without judgment.

As a first-time Burner, being welcomed with “welcome home” and a hug by complete strangers hit differently. The connections I made there felt more genuine, open, and human than almost anything I’ve experienced.

It genuinely changed the way I look at people, community, and the way we could treat one another.

To all the beautiful humans I met out there — thank you. ❤️‍🔥

Burning Man 26 was a roller coaster. Highs and lows in the greatest place on earth. Definitely my most challenging burn yet, but the playa provided with some new friends and inspirations to bring forward. Love yall #naacb #burningman
