I started running during the darkest chapter of my life.

Today is Global Running Day, and as I look back on the past six years, I am in awe and so full of gratitude at all the ways running opened up my world and helped me heal.

Running represents so much to me.

🖤 New friends, new cultures, delicious carb loads, and countless core memories that lit a fire in me, reminding me that even the most difficult challenges lay the foundation for incredible expansiveness.

🖤 The resilience of the human spirit: people from every background, putting one foot in front of the other, digging deep, clarifying their “why,” honoring loved ones, celebrating milestones, defying expectations, and proving just how powerful they are.

🖤 Inner reinvention. A recovery journey through OCD and grief. From 100 mile ultras to the 7 World Marathon Majors to Antarctica. A reminder that we are all so much more capable than we realize.

🖤 Run clubs, not hitting snooze on the alarm clock, pure dance playlists on repeat, and the euphoria of hitting your stride just as your favorite song comes on shuffle.

While running may look like an individual sport, I’ve never crossed a finish line alone.

To the amazing running community, thank you for running beside me, cheering me on, coaching me, hugging me, and believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself.

I hope to pay forward all the love, encouragement, and inspiration I’ve gained from running, and I hope this might encourage you to step out and go for a run today!

One of the best skincare tips I’ve ever received is double cleansing. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s truly a game changer.

Consider this our standing RSVP to Ravello! ✨

After more than one celebration here, it’s a place that keeps pulling us back — the views, the pace, the way every wedding somehow feels entirely its own. Always a yes!
