What a year!
A full year as a family of four was pure magic…and the year Brett and I decided our hearts had room for one more, who will be joining us anytime in the next 25 days 😢🥰

This was the year both of my parents turned 70.
The year I took the trip of a lifetime with my two best friends aka my mom and my sister.
The year my sister got MARRIED and bought a dream home. (Added another family to love!)
The year my husband hit major business milestones, all while loving and supporting a very sick, very pregnant wife and being a full time dad.
The year I went a vacation with 10 girls I can never forget.
The year we welcomed Katie into our family so I could have all the love and support a pregnant mama needs.
The year I was forced to stay home while my family had a holiday.
The year I spent every 9th day in the hospital.
The year my grandmother had another birthday.
The year someone close got pregnant with her miracle babies.

Sometimes, I have to admit that this year felt heavy.
It felt lonely at times while I was sick.
But looking back, I see just how blessed I truly am!
To have my health, the health of my family, and the health of my friends.

I love you all.
May 2026 far exceed your wildest dreams.

If you had asked me in 2020 where my life would be, I could never have imagined it would be this beautiful. 🤍

We decided Gus was too big to always be the ‘little brother’—and Sutton insisted on ‘smaller baby’ this time around. Baby Sousa #3 coming this January 💕🥹🙏🏼 Our hearts are full, our hands will be fuller… and yes, we’ll need a bigger car. @brettsousa is hoping it can be vintage.

One year ago today, you changed our world forever.
From the moment I held you in my arms, I knew my heart would never be the same.
About 30 seconds after I saw you, I remember looking at Brett, and saying… “ I want 100 more.”
You are the boy who taught me patience in a way no one else could—patience with myself, patience with life, and grace for every imperfect moment along my postpartum journey.
These moments may seem small, but they are the most important.
And they pass so quickly, but are things I will never forget and have made me a stronger person.
You’ve taught me to love this body—not for how it looks, but for what it has done.
For growing you, carrying you, bringing you into the world.
Every ache for the miracle of being your mama.
I never fully understood what it meant to be a boy mom until you.
Now I get it. The obsession, the infectious laughter and smile.
You are wild and soft, strong and HUGE! A big reminder of what life is about.
And Gus-there is someone who loved you from the moment she met you.
Your big sister, Sutton.
Her eyes light up when you enter the room.
Her laughter is louder when you’re near.
She will be your guide, your protector, your first friend-and your forever friend.
Long after I’m gone, you will still have each other and for that I am so thankful.
Thank you for choosing me to be your mama.
Thank you for bringing a love into my life I never knew I was missing and I really didn’t know I was capable of.

Happy birthday, my big beautiful boy.
