Next exec is Ellery Huffman, our new Publicity Head! She is planning on majoring in Media Studies and Studio Art. Some groups she is involved with on grounds is the University Dance Club, the Transfer Advisory Board, and the Advertising and Marketing Association. Here is a quote on what she is excited about for Bearings: “I can’t wait to create a space that allows Christians from all backgrounds to connect and share what it means to them to be a Christian.”

We are looking for pieces that engage with “faith and” questions. Essentially, “faith and” questions look at some element of faith and another contemporary topic, such as faith and culture, faith and science, or faith and politics. The subjects of our pieces can encompass issues of theology, literature, politics, culture, economics, and much more. Submissions can be in the form of academic articles, poetry, artwork, and prose.
We’re hoping the submissions will be centered around the next journal’s theme of “common ground,” but feel free to expand beyond that. Email bearingsuva@gmail.com
