Everyone who knows me, knows I love BTS. I don’t care if people find this cringe, but to put it short, I have waited 3,104 days to see BTS. I spent most of my teenage years waiting for each comeback album release, and I waited to see whether or not they’d go on a tour that I’d actually be able to attend. Growing up I never asked to go to their concerts, because I knew it was out of our budget. I missed out on the Love Yourself/Speak Yourself tour, and then covid took MOTS tour away from us too. When PTD in Vegas came out, I was a broke college student who chose to focus on her studies.

When BTS left for the military, I spent time thinking about what they were up to, if they were okay, and if they missed ARMY. During this time I also got to focus on myself and grow in my faith. BTS gave me a safe space to be myself along with growing in my journey as a Christian. When they came back, I knew a tour and album was coming, and that I would be in more of a secure spot to be able to get tickets. I graduated college and obtained a degree and was able to listen to Arirang throughout it all. By the grace of God, He allowed my mom, my best friend Chy, and I to go see them a week ago for the first time ever.

Seeing them in concert brought out the youth in me again. As we know, youth is never coming back, but for the two concerts we attended, I felt like little 14 year old me could dance and sing one more time. Thank you for everything BTS, you’ve taught me how to love myself. 💜

嗨！好久不見！近來可好？我這個夏天第一次去了台灣！

人人都說台灣怎麼怎麼好，去過一次後，沒有絲毫誇張，可以說台灣已經奪走了我的心。初次獨自在外，一待就待了三個月。我對這次國外留學的期望一點都不高，只想著能湊合就可以了。但我萬萬沒想到這個暑期竟然會成為我人生中最珍貴、最難忘的轉折點之一。

雖然台灣天氣濕熱，天天下雨，但在這裡，我從未感到如此快樂。一般從國外回到美國、回到家，應該是我最期待的一部分，可今年卻是流著眼淚，依依不捨地離開台灣，離開這裡剛建立好的「家」。短短兩個月之內認識的新室友、朋友、同學、老師，不知不覺成為自己能依靠的「家人」。

今年能爭取到臺大的領航項目位置是我的榮幸，也很感激今年能遇到這麼多beautiful souls。這些室友、朋友、同學、老師在我的生活中帶來的快樂簡直無法形容，而這份快樂，能讓我每天期待上學，學中文，跟同學、老師互動，跟朋友逛街，做飯，出去玩。這些情形對我來說在美國少之又少。

台灣留學後，我會持之以恆地努力練習中文，不會辜負ICLP的老師和同學們！

那麼，台灣，後會有期！但願明年能再會！別讓我失望喔！

2 days with the drones & met these awesome people. Day 1 had better drones, Day 2 had amazing fireworks 🎆

throwback to the day that I was almost homeless in Vietnam bc I didn't research well enough to know that they were going to have a celebration and all lodging nearby was fully booked + they overbooked my reservation. Luckily, a dear friend assisted me in looking for a place ♡
Anyways it was a great 50th Reunification day for 🇻🇳

✨ Throwback: Au Pair Adventure in Chengdu – Day 3🇨🇳

Ellery and Cassy’s Chengdu journey was almost over, but they packed the day with more fun and unforgettable moments! 🌟

Morning: The day started with a trip to Chunxi Road, the vibrant heart of Chengdu, where they explored the city’s buzzing shops and landmarks. Of course, no visit would be complete without snapping a few photos with the iconic Giant Panda sculptures 🐼📸!

Afternoon: They dropped by the GlobalYouth Chengdu office for a quick “check-in”, before heading to Dongjiao Memory (东郊记忆) for some artsy photos by the Chengdu Wall, embracing the city’s modern and artistic side. 🎨✨

Evening: The evening took them to The Tower of Vitality and Twin Towers for a night-time photo session, capturing Chengdu’s stunning skyline 🌆. Then, they wrapped up the day by diving into local delicacies like LeShan fried skewers and Beef Noodles — flavors that made everyone fall in love with Sichuan cuisine! 🌶️🍢

Although this wasn’t their last day, they sure packed it full of memories before the final farewell. 🌏💕
