POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This summer has flown by and I can’t quite believe that the @atelierbrighton Open 2026 is nearly over! So if you have your eye on a particular piece, then now is the time to grab it before it goes. Here are some pics I took at the private view. Apologies for the not so great pics but it was so busy! All pieces are available to buy online through the Atelier by The Sea website if you can’t make it down to the beach. But it’s a good excuse to go and eat some ice cream, visit the gallery and a stroll along the seafront in the last of the sunny days. Please let me know if your work is here and I will tag you!

Forestry England says work to “reduce and reprofile” the closed jumps at Hodgemoor Woods is ongoing. Footage shared this week showed young riders confronting diggers that arrived on site to carry out the work.

Should riders get more say before works like this go ahead?

I was very lucky to be shortlisted for the @batsfordbooks Batsford Prize for Book illustration.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Last night we had a brilliant time at the private view. It’s always a pleasure to meet up with my @csacbi pals. I enjoyed it a little too much as i forgot to take any photos of my exhibition 🫣

Huge congratulations to the winner @ananthralled and runner up @oryn_redford and fellow shortlister (and friend ❤️) @elliegood_illo .
My work along with all the shortlisters will be exhibited at the @batsfordgallery until the 24th of May.

Happy Birthday to Sir David Attenborough. 100 years of showing us the world and why it’s worth holding on to.

Here are just some of our Partners with nature at the heart of everything they do 💜

BOOKS and ONLINE HEROES! One of my favorite things at #bolognachildrensbookfair is to look at books and/ or to get to meet my online heroes!! People making the community, the jobs, or the industry stronger and better! One of those will be @thegoodshipillustration and @ellenvesters for their relentless desire to share tips, support aspiring talents and be both approachable and full of wisdom! This year I got to meet both - and got to be interviewed by the first; and mentioned during a talk by the second! Those are my little (BIG) wins for this year's fair! And my highlights... I also get to meet one new heroin: @k8cosgrove during an awesome workshop I could take part of! THANK YOU! Oh, and for those interesting to know what the point of this post is: GO MEET YOUR HEROES! They are often nicer and more supportive than you think! if you too met your heroes this year, feel free to comment who they are or even tag them (who knows, they might be happy to know that they inspire others)!

Day 3 for me is actually Day 1 for most! The highlight of this day still has a people element to it; more specifically the communities we build thanks to the connections we make. In my case, my online group @thewivesofboloni and our monthly (or so) meetings where we discussed everything related to the industry! Those communities are also at the core of the fair - people sometimes even come together as groups! So to all those in similar communities: here is a cheers to you!!

What a weirdly wonderful, whirlwind of a week we’ve just had!

After coming to @bolognachildrensbookfair before in previous years, to finally see my work on display has felt like a crazy dream! It’s been so fun to reunite and celebrate this journey with my peers, old and new, and meet some new industry friends along the way! (and eat a LOT of amazing Italian food)🍝

Feeling eternally grateful to my amazing @csacbi tutors and fellow coursemates for the best experience (& a HUGE thank you to @pamsmyillustrator and @hobbbins for all your incredible hard work and organising to make this fair possible!)❤️❤️

Can’t wait to make this an annual fixture in my calendar for years to come! Until next time Bologna 🇮🇹📚✨

Here is my photo recap of this year’s @bolognachildrensbookfair As always, an amazing experience full of inspiration, sensory overload and getting to spend time, in real life, with my favourite illustrator friends and meeting some new ones. I’m still unpacking (literally and figuratively). In spite of the rain, Bologna, ti amo. Fino alla prossima volta!

Hungry 3, 2, 1 went to Bologna 🍝✨

Ate loads, walked miles, met beautiful souls.
And with my CBI people back to being kids again!

So much talent, so much love.
Can’t wait to see what everyone creates next 🤍
