So you’re in the thick of wedding planning, thinking “I just want this day to feel like us.” You’ve saved all the inspiration, thought through a hundred little details, and answered more questions than you ever imagined could be asked about a single day.

** deep breath ** The beautiful truth is THERE ARE NO RULES. With all the inspiration floating around these days, it’s easy to get caught up in what a wedding could look like and forget what you actually want yours to feel like.

Maybe it’s getting married in the park you grew up in, and selecting a convenient and stylish hotel setting for your traveling guests. Maybe it’s leaving enough room in the day to spend a few quiet moments together, or getting to actually visit with those people who traveled to celebrate you.

Remember, your day is meant to be a beautiful collection of YOUR choices — how you spend your time, where you spend it, and who gets to be there with you.

Be a little selfish about this day. Don’t feel pressured to fill it with an agenda that serves everyone else. There’s something really special about giving yourself the space to just be there, in the middle of it all.

Intentionally simple can be so, so special. 🤍

After a lovely nuptial mass, umbrella portraits in the rain were a necessity ofc. Rainy wedding day photos are so romantic and here’s the proof🌧️

Then off to celebrate at 📍Meadow Barn where Ellie & Cole wore matching Nike kicks on the dancefloor and everyone had a disco cowboy hat lol

“O God beyond all praising,
we worship you today
and sing the love amazing
that songs cannot repay;
for we can only wonder
at every gift you send,
at blessings without number
and mercies without end:
we lift our hearts before you
and wait upon your word,
we honor and adore you,
our great and mighty Lord.”

Part 1 of Ellie & Cole, married at 📍The Cathedral of St. Joseph. Another babysitter of my sweet kiddos married 🥺 Ellie, thank you for the years of loving on my girls and Ambrose & for always being a role model for them of a beautiful woman of God. 🩷

I felt like a real life princess today 🥹 one of the best days in a girls life. I had a pretty great crew of women by my side, could not have done it without them. 💍 (and no the dress pictured is not the dress I got) #elliestonebride
