This year has been a year of major change, but I’ve come to learn that with change comes huge amounts of growth. I have never experienced a time of such great testing of my faith while in turn learning that my faith is the only thing that will get me through the rest of my life. Choosing to move away from home to GCU was the best decision I have made for myself. I have never experienced a place like this that has been filled with people who have pushed me in a direction where God has been the center of every choice I make. This place, and these people truly embody what it means to love like Christ. Even in the constant state of change from having to choose to let go of cheer to starting an internship with hockey and having to make new friends and learn to be by myself. I believe God has been in the center of it all and he has placed people along the way to be there when I needed them the most. Having people push me in the right direction has helped me to be a better disciple and to in turn share Jesus in rooms where he may have never been brought up. So I guess I’ll wrap this up by saying thank you GCU, I can’t wait to see what next year brings; but also, thank you Jesus for this place and these people. I pray this next year is only filled with more opportunities to share his love.
