it’s taken me over a month to make this post, probably because i’ve had such an array of feelings since coming back, and i didn’t want to rush such an important update. last month, i handed in my keys to my old flat and made the decision to leave brighton.

after being my home for 13.5yrs (which is the longest i’ve ever lived anywhere my whole life!), the brighton chapter has ended on a day to day level, but not a forever one.

so much has happened since i arrived in brighton as a 19yr old baby dyke with my fiat 500 and a costa coffee transfer, and all that unfolded i truly believe was meant to happen. made some big moves on the trauma front, moved through the city 8 times!! made some questionable love decisions straight out the gate, have sung my heart out on multiple stages, made some gorgeous friends (some for seasons but others that have stayed with me throughout), and swam in the ocean at sunset countless times.

it really is a special place, and i am so glad i got to experience it the way i did🩷it’s been hard to grapple with the feelings of outgrowing somewhere you’ve loved endlessly for years, but one thing ill never outgrow is my people in this town, so i will ALWAYS be coming back one way or another for fleeting visits.

thank you brighton, for everything you taught me about myself - the laughs, the tears, the spontaneity, the 4am chats, the lot. i love you, and i will see you soon💋

the people, the places, the personal growth- 32 was damn epic in so many ways, and beyond grateful to have the most gorgeous support system through my loves of my life, my friendships & my fam.

thank you 2025💛you’ve truly been one of the most memorable on record. i have to pinch myself daily for everything that’s happened this year, with the encouragement and support of my besties & fam, i could not have done it without you✨.

i’ve loved and i’ve lost, ive let people go and let people in, ive felt lonely, anxious and overwhelmed, ive rediscovered my worth and my passions, ive had out-of-town confidence to crippling self-doubt, and along the way ive learnt A LOT about myself.

being in the pnw for as long as i have, whilst it seems crazy given the current state of affairs, was totally the right call for me. still the same gal but more at peace internally— i’m loving being solo and being so immersed into the next level nature up here, it’s gonna be difficult to come back to the UK in March for a while.

but im excited to see what 2026 will bring, and have some very adventurous news that i cannot WAIT to share about what’s coming next. im so grateful for these snapshots, my gorgeous friends across the world, my career, my family (chosen & biological) and for this beautiful community online🙏

2024 me would be so proud of 2025 me✨

I found myself recently checking in to see how my ex was and it all ended in heart pains. I know you shouldn’t do it, I know it’s self sabotage but when you care about someone still and for their happiness, it’s really hard to not make sure they’re okay😭. I found myself smiling at their recent update but internally it hit a chord.

So I went back through literally the last 19 months I’ve been solo, all the travel and experiences, the new people that have come into my life and have helped me heal parts of me that needed it, and it reminded me that the universe shows up for you when you make the right decision — even when it’s initially a painful path to take.

2024 tested me and started a path of serious growth, but 2025 has been nothing short of transformational. It’s insane how the spirit aligns and things just fall into place.

Choosing you in a situation that no longer serves you is one of the most self-affirming things you can do. Especially when you’re a people pleaser. Especially when you love someone.

If anyone reading this resonates, this is your sign babe. Life is too short to settle for “almost.” You deserve peace. You deserve joy. You deserve someone that aligns with you.

Start the next chapter — I promise, it’s worth it🩷
