POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We are SO stoked to be back at the @ridesb100 for the second year. The pacing group was epic last year, and we are back to deliver the same thing: a draft and pacing for as long as possible!

We’ll have some posts with info about the route, plans for pacing, and a few other things during the lead-up.

Can’t wait to see you on the road very soon.
Look for the pacing group sign at the start, and your pacers will be in @veloprocyclery kits ❤️

Cheers!

There are so many people behind the scenes who help make my albums a reality, and I’m grateful for every one of them. There’s so much setup and attention to detail that ultimately sets the day up for success. Here’s a glimpse of day in the life at @oceansoundrecordsings. #makeyourownrules

A month ago I raced @ironmantri 70.3 Oregon with the @mindfulenduranceprogram Racing Team. It's taken some time for the dust to settle from the experience. I started the 4-month program by tearing my meniscus and being unable to train for 4-5 weeks, but also incredibly grateful it was only that long. Once I got back healthy, it was one of the most high intensity 3 months of training I've ever done. The camp in Big Bear, Cycling Retreat in Marin, brutally hard race at Castaic Lake.

I honestly felt more ready than ever for this 70.3. Then 4 days before the race I went into a big meditation that unearthed some deep fear of death, which was potent and healing, however it absolutely cooked my nervous system. If I could have gone back in time, I wouldn't have made that choice, but I did and it created very unique conditions for processing a lot of emotion, so ultimately it was exactly what needed to happen.

The race itself was disappointing, while an incredible course, I would highly recommend and hope to come back to, my performance just wasn't there. It was, but I wasn't able to recover from the meditation experience to be able to express it fully. And that's also just racing and sport. It was still a PR of 4:52 in the distance, but I know there was a much greater expression in me.

I am so proud of my brothers for their races, their commitment to the process and grateful to share this journey with them.

It also left me with a lot of fire and inspiration to stick with triathlon, so 2027 we'll be going for it, starting with the next MEP Team lining up Oceanside 70.3 (DM me if you're interested in being a part of the team!)

And now, for my first marathon in 11 years. I find 26.2 surprisingly daunting, so I'm focusing on it one week at a time...

The experience of racing is truly special and different each time. The excitement, the nerves, the relative pressure of times and PRs and goals, teammates and knowing the work that not only your brothers put in, but the 2500 or so other athletes on the start line. I’m grateful to continue exploring and learning experiencing life through sport in a meaningful way with beautiful people.

While I like to emphasize the inner competition, it’s also exciting to reflect that the @mindfulenduranceprogram teams over the last three programs have a 100% PR rate, and a lot of that is due to the athletes committed devotion and daily practice, and the container seems to create unique conditions of inspiration, accountability, and unlocking the unconscious in ways that lead to expanded potential in performance.

This season the @mindfulenduranceprogram Racing Team partnered with @ryzon_apparel which has been incredible as they've provided our race kits, cycling kits and running gear. The German engineering, clean design, comfort and breathability has been amazing to ride, train and race in. As the team gears up for our @ironmantri 70.3 in less than two weeks, we've been getting our last big rides in before the race taper 🚵 ❤️

A couple weeks ago the @mindfulenduranceprogram Racing Team headed to Big Bear Lake for training camp. These are such special weekends where we go in deep physically, emotionally, spiritually. The high altitude and big training sessions, combined with Breathwork journeys and raw vulnerability have become a potent combination for self exploration and growth.

An epic Training Camp experience in Big Bear Lake with my brothers. These weekends are intense, at times overwhelming physically, emotionally, mentally, but always beautiful, special and deeply connecting. Four days of riding, running, swimming and breathing together. High altitude, high attitude. Gentle discipline, patient enthusiasm 🙏🏼💚 🏊🏼🚴🏽🏃🏽⛰️

Two days into Training Camp for the RACETEAM in Big Bear Lake. High hopes, high altitude, great attitude and swim, bike, run, breath. @ironmantri 70.3 Oregon is 6 weeks away, but not in our minds as presence is the only practice 🏊🏼🚴🏽🏃🏽🙏🏼💚
