It has been such a privilege to have been the April Artist in Residence at Neighborhood Comics.

Lee was one of my first professional friends in comics. Being able to come back and spend some time in the shop means so much to me.

To everyone in the Sav comics community, thank you so much for welcoming me home and coming to see what I have been working on!

I can't wait to show you all what I made 🖤

It has been exactly a year since last year, at this time. You take 365 days, put ‘em together, and that’s a year. Wow.
These things happened within those days.

Love y’all.♥️

This past month has been filled with more love and rewarding experiences than I ever thought imaginable. For starters, so many new and wonderful people have come into my life recently, and these connections continue to grow stronger and stronger each day. To add to that, a lot of these new friends have come into my life due to the Two Penny Tales murder mysteries that originally started off as just a fun event that I participated in, but have now become a major source of joy and community in my life. Two months of work and preparation went into our last show. It was the first time I’ve written something in a long long time, and I cannot begin to express how rewarding it was to see Josh, Greg, and my ideas come to life. The overwhelming support from everyone that participated warmed my heart so much that I’m already committed to writing another show for October, so stay tuned!

Not only do I have that in the works, but I’ve also started volunteering with the Dragonfly Social, a weekly event hosted for members of the differently abled community to come and hang out with each other in a positive environment, while also educating those around us about our community. I’m at a loss for words at how this event and these people have impacted me over this past month, and I can’t wait to see our community grow even more!

And lastly, I was able to fly home to see Meg right before she left for her study abroad program in Korea. Not to mention, spending time with the family was much needed and very good for my mental health. The next few months are going to be filled with lots of new creative ventures, and I’m going to admit it, I’m proud of myself for how much I’ve accomplished over these past few months. But my work isn’t done yet, in fact, it’s only just begun…😉

P.S. swipe to the end for a surprise
