Significant, lasting relationships with other human beings need to be developed. High regard for others lessens loneliness, frustration, and failure. I must serve others.

In the past week, I’ve gained multiple new friends from all over the state. Stuco camp will always be one of the most significant learning experience of my life, both this year and the last. This year was very different than last year, both in the way of friends, and experiences. It’s made me realize just how much I’ve changed this past year, which includes being silver to going purple. I am always growing, and you are too.

Please always strive to improve yourself, others, and the world for the better, whether it’s one small act of kindness or something major. Take the time out of your day to smile, to ask someone how their day is going, or include someone new.
I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, try new things, and make a difference.

truly, the single most significant learning experience of my life.

little did i know how much the past five days would change my life. i have learned so much not only about myself but also about how to be a leader. this camp has opened my eyes in many ways. as soon as i stepped foot on camp grounds, i knew i was going to embark on something extraordinary. as nervousness outweighed excitement i had the opportunity to meet 17 other amazing individuals on sunday. in such a short amount of time we all went from acquaintances to friends to family. from learning a funny dance together to being the sunflower derby champs to stepping over a tape line at the same time, we all worked together to accomplish our goals. the bonds created in Just five days is unbelievable. i want to thank the entirety of COUNCIL J from the bottom of my heart for this life changing week, each of you will have a light in my heart. Jay-town forever ♾️ 🪼

“I have this funny feeling;
That we'll all be together again.”
