just had one of the most meaningful and fun 2 weeks maybe ever here’s a recap in non chronological order

starting with ass out for @phoebebridgers

i saw like a 14 year old girl at the show with braces, a wild self tan and a full fit of brandy melville put her hands together in prayer and say “please let her play so much wine” . that’s my spirit animal

faces after phoebe. cried and danced so much. so proud to see our buddy @yeemz.cello (who brought to u Thee dream song olivia barton version strings) SHRED in the phoebe band

saw our beautiful friend @sarahgrossmusic get married to the love of her life

released crumbs, the third single off our debut album!!!!!

went to @highlandsmusicfestival , the happiest place on earth . a music festival hosted at a summer camp in ontario that makes you feel like a kid again and restores your faith in humanity (no exaggeration)

danced our hearts out at the chicken finger rave (annual dance party in the woods with chicken fingers). time stamp for this video??? 2:30am

turned 27 🦋 feeling more full hearted and grateful than ever before. more and more each day, i seem to more deeply understand these wise words of selena gomez: “wouldn’t wanna be anybody else!”

i sound saccharine and corny but i am so deathly serious: thank you for being here so we can live this life full of music and love.

have been trying out this cool new thing called “living for the hope of it all.” it looks like releasing music and getting a tattoo of a whale and naming it glorp and taking your friends to the places you loved as a kid and moving across the country (from manhattan to brooklyn) and going to the movies in the morning and knowing that better times are coming even when bad times are here and eating dippin dots at 9am and knowing that one day you will tell stories about your secret roach roommates and their eviction and going dancing at the place your moms went dancing before you were born and crying at concerts with your friends and knowing this time last year was so much worse and writing music even if you hate it and exploding with gratitude for having the kind of friends who will move your way-too-much stuff with you and remembering that you are capable and creative and that you enjoy being capable and creative and seeing the jonas brothers in concert because sure, why not, and finally watching girls and moving in with someone you met on the internet and moving in with someone you met through choir and going over to friend’s houses without much warning and going to work even when you really don’t want to and spending your commute writing absurdly long instagram captions because maybe, possibly, hopefully, someone will take the time to read them.

starting tomorrow, everything is going to be okay!! they just announced it / it’s alright, it all worked out! lots of people love me now / everything seems to be coming up roses / one day, far away, bad things come. but that’s not now!! / this is the life bobobobobo / i am carried by the way that i love you

spring has sprung and my friends have been in town and i’m getting better at chess and i see Florence Welch in less than two weeks and i feel alright!! there are many Bad things happening but i am carried by all the love in my life :)

also Brooks and i celebrated 4.5 years yesterday so you should tell us how awesome and cool we are 😎 she is the best thing ever and has kept me sane despite the insanity of the world!
