A hens weekend away. An uninvited lesbian. And no way out.

Ari’s distaste for her best friend Emily’s fiancé has landed her uninvited from the hens weekend away.
So, armed with a bag of ketamine and a resolve to save Emily from a lifetime of bad sex and the intimate hell of mothering a fully grown man, Ari crashes the weekend only to be accused of being an ‘overstepping, self-righteous psycho lesbian’. As Ari tries everything to convince Emily to say ‘I don’t’, the night turns sinister, fuelled by a deadly cocktail of high school resentments and disturbing revelations.

Fear, humiliation, female friendship and a cardboard cut-out of Chris Hemsworth, GETAWAY is Bridesmaids meets Bodies Bodies Bodies in a grandma-chic Airbnb in rural NSW.

i left @atyp_theatre national studio with a full notebook and an even fuller heart.

on the final morning i kept saying “of course we’re leaving today. we’ve done the thing; all of this has reached its natural end. however, i cannot help but feel it’s just the beginning”. this, i think, remains apt and my subsequent rendition of high school musical’s ‘start of something new’ will remain a gift only @shelbyraefoster enjoys.

there aren’t enough photos or journal extracts or cliches or haikus or charli xcx songs to capture the magnificence of my time in beautiful bundanon with these beautiful people.

i am different than i was before and so is my writing. both are inalterably changed for the better.

i love you
(say it back).

eternally blessed to have spent the week at the most incredible writers residency with the most incredible young writers. laughing, sharing, playing, testing my limits, creating in the sun, shivering to my morning showers, every single moment was transcendent.

thank you @atyp_theatre National Studio, now i have the confidence to say YES! I AM A WRITER!

NEPOBERRY CAMPAIGN LAUNCH 🤑🩷🔫

Don’t get mad but I’m about to get serious for a second, I’m going to swallow my pride and say…. Thankyou…

Our fundraising goal was huge, we didn’t budget for reaching even half of it, so it is very crazy to announce that we reached that goal ‼️NEPOBERRY will be entirely funded by your hard earned dollars at this years Fringe Festival‼️ To those who came, to those who dressed up, to those who bought raffle tickets, to those who already bought tickets to the show, Thank you thank you thank you.

We want to give a special thankyou @tom__findlay who donated a decadent painting and @bookermagazine who donated 9 of their awesomesauce magazines. And of course, a huge thankyou to our friends at @lyfaustralia for hosting and feeding us, would not have been possible without a single one of you 🩷🤑💰

We hate to ask more of you but if you would like to see where your money has been used, please grab a ticket at the link in our bio and use code BERRY4PREZ for 25% off as a thankyou! See you next week for some even more saucy photos x
