Everyone you meet can surprise you, which is what we love about doing interviews for the magazine. Aidan is a DJ, contract manager, mixed-media artist and first-class funny guy. We were lucky enough to do a little Q&A with him, just for the fun of it.

What are your interests?

In my day-to-day life, I am most interested in the ability people have to create art or entertainment that evokes feelings among individuals. For instance, I love the way an artist can use string instruments that make me think about my relationships and connections. I love that I can watch a movie where a story about escaping jail can remind me to be a glass-half-full person, or how a designer can make a coffee table that makes me feel more comforted and grounded. I am also interested in indulging in these processes; making my own art and giving back in this space.

What is your day job? What is your night job?

I’m a contract manager within the travel industry by day, and a music DJ by night.

What do you think people find is the most unexpected thing about you?

My age. People my age don’t expect someone my age to be doing the things I’m doing. Fortunately for me, I am surrounded by amazing and supportive people, and I have both earned and been gifted with amazing opportunities.

What are some things that you enjoy reading about?

I love to read and gain an in-depth understanding of people’s passions. I wanna read about why someone is so passionate about bonsai trees, or why someone is so passionate about interior design, or rock climbing. I guess the way I see it is that in my life I can only have the capacity and motivation to be passionate about so many things. I enjoy the opportunity to gain passion from someone for something that otherwise would never cross my mind.

Episode 6 is out now!!! 💕💕

Up and coming Canberra based DJ, Grimbles, struggles to disappoint when it comes to gettin’ hips shaking. His refined collection stems from his passion for disco, tech and house. We strongly recommend you avoid this Turning Tables if your hips can’t handle it.

If you love disco, house, tech and everything in between you need to give this a listen!
