That’s why international people keep coming to our country. Paul Hupfer German model Paul Hupfer knows two completely different worlds. Under his own name, he walks the runway for Ralph Lauren, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana and works with brands from Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss to P. Johnson. As a DJ, he consciously chooses anonymity and plays exclusively vinyl under the pseudonym Elsaq (@elsaq__): „It should never be about my face. I want people to remember the music, not the campaigns I’ve done.“ Last year, he founded the underground party MOVING (@movingberlin) together with his sister @teuberkohlhoff and a good friend. That attitude feels remarkably authentic for someone who spends his career between Berlin and New York in front of cameras. Perhaps that’s because Paul is still the same guy who grew up in a village with barely 250 inhabitants in Mehla. His father is a farmer. As soon as he gets home, he easily swaps fashion weeks for a tractor and the cowshed. For years, Amsterdam has been more than just a regular stop for shoots and editorials. It’s also the place where, according to Paul, the electronic music scene has remained true to its underground mindset. It’s been quite a while since a live recording of mine was shared. 😬😎 On May 16th, I had the pleasure of playing at a @betriebsfeierberlin aboard the @hoppetosse.berlin and luckily the whole set was recorded. From 4pm to 8pm we enjoyed some great afterhour vibes on the upper deck. My record bag was absolutely packed and I got to play a wide selection of house and minimal, featuring tracks from artists like @martinswanstein, @my_king_is_light, @arno_ptx, @mountainpeoplemusic, @subb_an, @mood_ii_swing, @pacificoasthouse and many more.
