Ruby has watched me arc read books by all of these authors and she wanted to feature some for your consideration. I hope you find a few you can add to your TBR. Most of these authors are indie!

@sophiastgermain_author is a fantasy author that is has both indie and trad books. She was also the first author I ever arc read for when A Tongue so Sweet and Deadly came out at the end of 2024. Sophia is an author that always has me up all night reading because I can’t put her books down once I start them.

@leenakazakbooks is an indie author that has a book going trad in January. If you haven’t read BTAT you have to because it is really good and the trad edition is stunning! BSAS is the MMC’s pov of BTAT because just one book wasn’t enough for these characters.

@ajwildingbooks is a dark romance and soon to be romantasy author. If you want a mafia motorcycle riding hockey player then you should check out No Promises No Lies.

@montanafyre_author is a dark romance author. While I have only read her Mafia Matchmaker series she has quite a few other books for all different types of dark romance readers. A matchmaking service for Mafia families, what could go wrong with that?

@elsaw1 is a small town steamy cowboy romance author. I absolutely love her The Westons of Montana series. These aren’t your average cowboy romances because there is something special about the Westons.

@dani_elias_books writes spicy British romcoms & small town romances with witty banter & MCs in their 40s. A lot of her books are novellas, so nice short reads. Her books always have me giggling at the banter and falling in love with the characters.

@chelseyanntompkins is a romantasy author who writes spicy fairytale retellings and adult fantasy romances. Her books are always fun reads.

@marisahaartzauthor is a romance author that seems to write a little bit of everything. I’m someone that never liked Romeo and Juliet but her retelling made me like it because it gave a purpose to the ending (fated mates) that the original didn’t have.

@landiwrites writes clean cozy fantasy retellings. All her books featured are interconnected standalones. Books don’t always need spice to be good.

📚The Book: My Montana Valentine

✍️The Creator: Elsa Winckler

🫶🏻 Reader's Heart: I just finished "My Montana Valentine" by Elsa Winckler and honestly… it felt like such a cozy, heartwarming escape 💕❄️✨

From the start, I loved the contrast between Aiden and Vivian. He’s cynical and a little closed off, while she’s strong, caring, and completely grounded in her responsibilities 🥺 Watching their dynamic slowly shift from irritation to something softer was so satisfying.

The small-town setting of Marietta added so much charm 😍 It felt warm, welcoming, and full of little moments that made the story feel alive. I could almost picture the snowy streets and quiet hospital scenes.

Vivian’s character really stood out to me 💔 She’s carrying so much raising her siblings, running a clinic and yet she still has this quiet strength that made me admire her so much.

And Aiden… ugh, his emotional growth 🥹 seeing him slowly open up to love again was beautiful.

The romance is gentle, slow-burn, and full of sweet moments 💫

This book felt like a warm hug on a cold day soft, emotional, and full of hope. I genuinely didn’t want it to end 🤍

📚The Book: A Match Made in Montana

✍️The Creator: Elsa Winckler

🫶🏻 Reader's Heart: I just finished "A Match Made in Montana" by Elsa Winckler and honestly… it felt like the sweetest, most comforting love story 🏡💕✨

Annie’s journey really touched my heart 🥺 After everything she’s been through, her decision to start over in Marietta felt so brave yet fragile. You can feel her pain, but also her quiet hope as she builds something new with her B&B.

And then there’s Craig… 😩❤️ he’s charming, supportive, and not overly perfect, which made him feel real. I loved how their connection develops naturally, starting from helping her business and slowly turning into something deeper.

The small-town vibe is everything 😍 It feels warm, peaceful, and full of people who genuinely care. And Aunt Janice? Lowkey my favorite 😌 she brings that fun, matchmaking energy that adds a cute spark to the story.

What I loved most is the theme of second chances 💭 It shows that healing takes time, but love can find you when you least expect it.

This book is soft, emotional, and full of hope… like a warm cup of coffee on a quiet morning ☕🤍

I was so inspired by an incredible author of romance novels that I wrote this song. Every book of hers I've read has had an amazing plot, a handsome lead, and intriguing circumstances that bring the couple together. Love is an adventure, whether it's with cowboys, doctors, rockstars, farmers, or charming Scottish men 😉. That warm, fuzzy feeling that stays with you long after you finish the book... and sometimes, the bittersweet ending.
