Start der Theatersaison mit einer Deutschland-Premiere 💙 „Carmen / Rosa / Boléro“ 🌹mit dem Ballett Salzburg

Am Montag, 03.11. präsentiert das Ballett Salzburg im Stadtsaal gleich drei verschiedene Choreographien:

🔹 Carmen: Die preisgekrönte kroatische Choreographin und Regisseurin Valentina Turcu entfaltet in ihrem neoklassischen Ballett die eingängigen Melodien von Georges Bizets Oper „Carmen“, bearbeitet vom russischen Komponisten Rodion Schtschedrin.

🔹 Rosa: Im Mittelpunkt steht Reginaldo Oliveiras Ballett „Rosa“ als Annäherung an den spanischen Pop in Verbindung mit modernem Flamenco – inspiriert vom katalanischen Popstar Rosalía.

🔹 Boléro: Ravels „Boléro“ gilt heute als Tanz-Klassiker schlechthin. Der Koreaner Yonggeol Kim wagt an eine Neufassung seiner atemberaubenden Choreographie.

Friday 26th September — Our first Open Studio of the 2025-2026 season.

This event series invites you into the BDJ studio at Jersey Opera House to see some of our work in progress, hear from the dancers about the process, and get into candid creative conversations about the art and practise of putting dance on stage.

This time we will be offering a peek into rehearsals for our upcoming shows of Garrett Smith’s “Footsteps” and Tess Voelker’s “Sand and Their Castles”.

The setting is informal, and questions and comments are encouraged. If you are an audience member looking to deepen your understanding of the performances you see on stage; if you are a newcomer curious to learn what a dance company actually does; if you are an artist looking to find your community; this is the one for you.

Life brings you opportunities and 6 years ago it took me to the emerald isle. Many experiences and adventures are now coming to an end. Saying goodbye is always difficult, but I feel like have been blessed for the past 6 years. It is hard to work with people if you don’t admire them and that hasn’t been my case. I have been a big fan of all the people and their achievements at @balletireland since I joined the company. Life is a learning process and with all of them through the years I grew enormously, not only as a professional but as a human being.
THANK YOU to everyone that was involved in this journey (you are too many to mention, but you know who you are)
Hopefully our paths will cross again.
