POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

13 seconds left. Down 18-13. No timeouts. 4th and 11 to go. City Championship on the line.

The drive started on our own 30 with 1:13 to go, and Levi “The Truth” Sama marched them down the field like he’d been there before. Then he found Aiden “The Savage” Vega for the game winner. 🐏🏆

5-PEAT. 🖐️

I’ve coached Aiden since 8U and Levi since 10U. I had zero doubt and zero fear on that last drive, because I know exactly what these boys are made of.

Trailing all night in a back-and-forth slugfest, an instant classic. Pushed to the limit, they dug deep and found a way. That’s what True Champions do.

Hats off to the entire 12U squad. Every one of you dug deep and scrapped until the final whistle. I’ve coached most of you since 8U, and watching you grow into the young men who won that game is something I’ll never forget.

Hats off to the Tucson Wildcats. That’s a championship-caliber team, no doubt about it.

And hats off to the Rams 12U staff for never wavering. You led, adjusted and adapted all game and all season through injuries and adversity.

This is True Champion stuff right here. Sound on. 🔊

Once a Ram, always a Ram. 🐏

🔊 Turn your sound up for this one.

Since flag football at 7, through 8U, all the way to 12U. Four city championships. And this season, his first real tackle.

Football is a family thing in our house. If I’m being honest, it’s never been Roy’s favorite thing to do. But he’s never quit on it. He’s shown up, put the work in, and made the best of it, year after year.

He hasn’t been the kid with the highlight reel. Most seasons his reps have been limited. So over the years we’ve had a lot of talks: find a way to contribute. It’s not always about making plays. Sometimes it’s being a great teammate. Sometimes it’s working hard in practice so you can push the guys next to you. Sometimes it’s just bringing a good attitude every single day.

He listened.

And then #51 made the tackle. Listen to his teammates. The coaches. The whole stands. They weren’t celebrating a stat. They were celebrating a kid who kept showing up.

To his coaching staff: thank you for always being there for him, for believing in him, and for making sure he knew he belonged. To his teammates: the way you celebrated him says everything about who you are. That’s what a real team looks like. 🙏

I’ve coached him and many of his team mates. I’ve watched him from the sideline. And I’ve never been prouder to be his dad.

Son, that moment was yours. You earned every second of it. 🐏💙
