Help Needed🚨 Share & repost to anyone who can help. The deafening silence caused by the glaring absence of corner flower vendors convincing us to buy from them, our local sugar artist & his 7 foot tower of cotton candy nowhere in sight, no chopping sounds from our fruta picada crafters, no esquites hitting the cup or the void of the raspador de hielo scratching to shave ice for raspado creations, taco smoke, construction drills & banter seem like far off ghosts & even ice cream truck tunes have screeched to a halt. The melodies of our hood muted due to polarizing fear, causing our community freelance artists & mobile entrepreneurs to flee. But they are more than labor, they are humans & space should be made to celebrate their entire lives. To every student who has reached out to say they’re terrified & their parents have stopped going to work. To every parent who messaged me that their child won’t be at school or the graduation…if you’re watching, you are missed & appreciated. Street vendors, you are a staple of our neighborhoods-a downright necessity. Things are off when you’re not here. Prayers are being sent to up to heaven for protection, change & for you to feel free🙏🏽We will get through this, we will weather the storm🧊☔️ Call to action: we need food & gift cards for families who have lost a breadwinner or are in need. We need you to nominate families who need help. We need food distributors to donate. We will not panic or lose our mind, but find ways to support & provide. God will guide🙏🏽Message me or any member of @masteringhope to nominate or donate. Community Moves🫶🏽 ANY IDEAS & HELP WELCOME❤️ clip credit to @scla.clips 💐

Share & repost so all that would like to help, can🫶🏽We want to thank everyone as yesterday and today we’ve had an overwhelmingly generous response for donations🙏🏽 We will now collaborate with our amazing City of Lynwood & council members to host a large donation drive starting tomorrow at 9am for our neighbors encountering unimaginable loss and grief due to the LA fires 💙 You can drop off items at Bateman Hall on Friday & Saturday until 5pm. If you need to drop off later you can send me a message or @masteringhope 🛻💨 the donations will be delivered to trusted distribution centers helping affected families and firefighters/emergency responders. At this time many centers are not accepting clothes but we will alert you when they are needed. Lynwood, let’s do what we do, when we unite beautiful things happen and we prove that hope will survive🤝🏽“Love cannot remain by itself, it must be put into action” -Mother Teresa ❤️ #Unity #Community #Love #Lynwood #LA 🌆

Great day at Lynwood High’s “Rock The Vote: Celebrating Democracy” event. Seniors researched candidates and measures that will be on the November ballot and defended them as hundreds of students, staff and media walked by and asked questions. Thank you Ms. Abbas’s and Ms. Alfaro for preparing your government and civics students to do such an amazing job! The future is bright 🗳️

“In a world that can be bitter, candy offers a taste of sweetness and hope”. We @masteringhope set out to show love to a local & the community came through🙏🏽 Don Miguel is not a street vendor that was robbed & humiliated, he’s a skilled candy maker, the only cotton candy mobile vendor in Lynwood who creates beautiful colors & flavors every day to make our city smile, an incredibly sweet human & the community came out to support🎉🍭🍬 Miguel is so hardworking that when he left the buy out, he still sold on the street for 8 hours because he said the day felt “very blessed”🥹 Thank you to everyone who donated materials, chairs/tables, funds or came to eat & bless Don Miguel. A huge shout out to the crew who volunteered over 7 hours setting up, selling then cleaning up - there were too many folks to tag everyone😣 & an eternal hug to Victor of @saga_cdla & David, owner of @st_pauls_lutheran church who allowed us the space to make all of this happen. But… 2 years ago we did a buy out for Laura, the same day of Miguel’s event another Lynwood ice cream vendor was attacked with a gun & robbed, Don Miguel himself was beaten 6 months before this robbery, during this week we saw several attacks on street vendors in the hood & many other vendors told us they have been robbed & attacked but decided not to report😮‍💨With no signs of this nonsense slowing down I want to make it clear that buy outs/Kermes’ bless a victim but DO NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM of senseless street vendor robberies & murders. We need to get the attention of local & state officials to create stronger laws against this, hold police accountable for faster responses times to these crimes, we need to bring back Block Watch Captains & crews, we need to do more than post/repost as a community, more than just shout at the tv or phones from our couches. It’s time to get up, move in righteousness & demand action…it’s definitely not a time to be scared. More info to come on how we can move to strongly support our local street vendors. Thank you to @enamoradoalex_ & @lahoodclips3 for your support throughout this process✊🏽 Pic Credit @dasfito 📸 #Lynwood #Love #StopTheHate #SupportStreetVendors 🍭

🚨Please please repost & share💔 Link in Bio. One of our own Lynwood Elementary students was victim to a brutal hit & run😣His heartbroken teacher has created a Gofundme, please support however you can. If you don’t have money to spare let’s brainstorm how we can support this family ASAP🤝 Especially by posting this on your feed or story & sending the link to friends, family & any generous people we are blessed to be surrounded with. Hector is fighting to survive & his family needs support❤️‍🩹let’s band together to pray, send the most loving/healing vibes possible & to hustle. Hector, all of Lynwood is rooting for you 🙏🏽 This is a parents nightmare & to have this occur when a child is having fun during summer break is beyond tragic😔 Community, let’s do what we can. DM me to brainstorm how we can show additional love to the Inda family 🫶🏽 #Community #Unity #Gofundme #Tragedy that will turn to #Positivity ✨ thank you to all who forwarded this story to us 🙏🏽

Part 2 of 2 📺 the surprise!! 🎉 @despiertamerica @collinsoficial & Amazon surprised @masteringhope with $4,000 for our upcoming holiday toy drive & food baskets‼️😮🙏🏽 This is a win for all who have donated or volunteered with Mastering Hope💚If you’ve ever felt like you can’t do a positive project because you need resources/money & have no idea where that will come from, my best advice is to move in faith & trust that God will whisper into the ears of many & touch the hearts that will push the vision forward… in ways that you never could’ve dreamed of. Overthinking & self-doubt are vicious enemies because Miracles CAN happen through unshakeable faith & action… especially when hundreds get together to spread love💗 Christmas has begun, & we will be able to bless many families with our donations combined with this Amazon surprise 🙏🏽 I had no idea this was going to happen, in fact they only told me they wanted to interview us because we were a family helping other families. I thought it was going to be a 4 minute story highlighting our work the past year and a half. So to have an almost 20 minute/2 part story of us complete with suspense building commercials & a huge $4K surprise gifted to us truly blew my mind & overwhelmed my soul in the best way possible😭My mom was in on it but kept it airtight lol. We know this work isn’t about our family only, it’s about our entire community that stepped up during the scariest time in our recent history. Your work impressed Univision & many others & it’s an honor that they trust us to do beautiful things for others in need. This is the only gift I need for Christmas - for Mastering Hope to be able to continue blessing & being able to share this moment alongside my greatest supporters (family, donors and the Dream Team)💚 Now let’s keep hustling 🌱🦾 Thank you to EVERYONE involved in the making of this story, surprise & work. PS they told us to move our coffee table out the way, we did, but it ended up coming out floating in the corner most of the video😩🙈😂Jokes aside, “Look around look around, how lucky we are to be alive right now”💚 #Unity #Community #Positivity #Money #Family 🎥
