After more than a decade producing for some of music’s biggest artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Big Sean, Dahi is finally out front with his debut solo album, Black Boy (Alternative). Released August 28, Dahi produced all 11 tracks on the project. Danny McKinnon, Ely Rise, John Key, and JONAH are among his most frequent collaborators on the album, with additional production from Wishpig, Yuli, Venna, Bēkon, and Los Hendrix. The album also features Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Vince Staples, Moses Sumney, Ravyn Lenae, and more. I cried listening to this album in full form. I will always uplift black girls in alt-pop/alt-r&b because there’s not enough of us “allowed” to be anything other than traditional R&B at mainstream level. We are here though & with the whole album, especially with “Babygirl,” I feel seen. I feel empowered. Even the ones I didn’t write! Working with you @ravynlenae & @ericleva on the songwriting has been a JOY. & to the mastermind @dahi & all the collaborators you brought together for this, thank you!! Even got to reconnect with @elythecreep!! I already can’t wait to do it again ❤️💫 What are yalls fav songs so far? #taylamade
