POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On the 8th November, 2025, I had the privilege of joining inspiring leaders and humanitarian actors as a panelist at the African Humanitarian Conference 2.0 convened by @aishah_adams , under the theme “Redefining Humanitarian Action in Africa: From Crisis to Collaboration.”

On Panel 5 – Climate, Health & Humanitarian Emergencies, we explored some of the most urgent challenges shaping the future of our continent:
🌍 Climate-induced floods and droughts
🚨 Health crises and disease outbreaks
🏚️ Displacement and community vulnerability
🛡️ Preparedness, resilience, and youth-led solutions

During the session, I spoke about the critical need for community-driven climate adaptation, the role of early warning systems, and how organizations like @blueskybrigade_ are empowering young people to become climate and health champions across schools and underserved communities.

Key values we collectively delivered:
✔️ Practical insights on integrating climate resilience into public health systems
✔️ Strategies for grassroots mobilization and strengthening local emergency response
✔️ Youth-led innovation as a force for humanitarian transformation
✔️ Collaboration models that connect communities, institutions, and policymakers

I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this timely conversation and to learn from fellow panelists working tirelessly across Africa to protect lives, build resilience, and create a healthier, more climate-secure future.

A big thank you to the organizers for bringing global voices together for impact.
Let’s keep redefining what humanitarian action looks like — from awareness to action, and from crisis to collaboration.
