Gaffed this special little feature called Missing Cody over September and a little into October.

One of if not the best cast and crew I’ve ever worked with, and I loved every minute making this (even those pain in the ass day for night setups).

Can’t wait for you guys to see the finished product!!

Was one hell of a way to spend a month, and I’ll see you at the premier ;)

I went into film school accidentally. I took a class I wanted to learn more about + then said what the hell— let’s do the full degree!

Life happened, bills needed to be paid + film industry jobs are not guaranteed. So I did what I could. Clean. Organize. Share on social media. I moved to WI + felt like I pretty much kissed any chance of the film world goodbye.

Then one day a video on TikTok hit me with this infectious girl saying she moved back to her hometown in WI to make a movie. She needed crew. I slid into her DMs so fast it was quite embarrassing. I had the credentials but no experience. She did not have to offer me anything. But she did.

Six months later I found myself commuting to middle of nowhere Chippewa Falls to meet strangers + make movie magic.

It sounds so cheesy + desperate but growing up I did not fit in anywhere. Sports? Absolutely not. Cool kids? Far from it. Theater? Didn’t have the courage. But the second I stepped on this set with people who had the same passion I did about movie making, it clicked. I finally belonged somewhere. I was needed. I was encouraged. I contributed to a greater thing. I made friends I’ll know for a long time.

This was truly one of the best things I’ve ever done. It gave me excitement to make something of my own one day. This proved that movie making is possible in the Midwest + I want to be apart of it.

So thank you to @izy.pol @em.thee.egg for making this possible. Let’s seriously do it again and again.

For the past month I’ve been driving 2.5hrs to and from Chippewa Falls, WI. What would possess a person to do this on the regular for a month straight? The answer: A passion project fueled by passionate people.

This last Thursday, we wrapped on “Missing Cody”, a film written and produced by @izy.pol (who quickly went from a complete and total stranger on the internet to an artist friend I adore). I feel extremely lucky and blessed to add THIS to my resume as my first ever feature length film that I’ve had hands on. It was also my first time signing onto a project as Art Director, which was extremely fun and exciting to be challenged in new ways on set. And I must say for having never done this before, I’m pretty proud of myself! (Separate posts to come about all the sets I dressed and props I made)

This film has a very special place in my heart with its midwestern charm, it’s nostalgic family feel, and the way it deals with the complexities of being humans all together at once in the same confusing and hard situation.

I already miss making “Missing Cody”, but I’m so excited to see how everyone’s hard work and dedication to their passions pays off on the big screen! And as a born and raised midwestern girly, here’s to making movies in hometowns!! 🍻

WE MADE A MOVIE!! We just wrapped @makingmissingcody !! There’s not enough words to describe how much I love every single person on this set!! Every day on set was such a blast! I haven’t laughed that hard and that much in such a long time! I loved working with yall!! I do have to give a huge thank you to Izzy for allowing me to be on this crew! Thank you so much for taking a chance on me when I had no experience in the movie making magic! Also a big thank you to Emilie and Andrew for teaching me so much! Thank you both for allowing me to learn as the days went on! I could literally write a book about each person on this set but I fear I would be writing all day! I loveeee all of you so much!! Please don’t be strangers!! ♥️
