“The Almighty works marvels for me.
Holy is his name!”
(cf. Luke 1: 49, the Magnificat)

🩵 Beauty truly inspires. Above all, the Blessed Mother’s gentleness surrounds this beauty, befitting for the praise of Almighty God.

Kim André Arnesen’s interpretation showcases just that. On this Solemnity, let us be reminded of the magnificence of our Lord and give praise for the purity and glory of Mary’s Assumption into Heaven!

💙 May the Lord bestow on all of us his confident blessings, and in turn may we spread the news of joy that ‘Love Has Won’!

🎶💫Throwback to an enriching evening with The Tallis Scholars - Music for the Sistine Chapel💫🎶

Fun things we do as a Choir
Learning & Development in Creatus

Our choir had the pleasure of attending a captiviating performance by The Tallis Scholars, a must-see for every aspiring choir on the local scene!!

Their angelic voices soared the heights of the concert hall, transporting us to heavens. Here are some of our choir insights n impression from the night:

🌟 I was impressed by how well their voices blend with one another. Each word was clear, and the choir's effort to listen to one another and sing together was truly inspiring!

🌟Their arrangement in the performance space produced a well-rounded surround sound effect

🌟I love that they performed ab ATB (Alto-Tenor-Bass) dong, showcasing the beauty of middle and lower voices. Tallis shows that every voice is important in a choir!

Swipe to see some moments from that night! 👉📷🌟

Are you passionate about choral music too!? Join us on our musical journey and let's create beautiful harmonies together ❤️ 🎵🎤🎼

This afternoon, we did something different together as a chamber choir!

We participated in the choir masterclass hosted by @voces8, and we had the pleasure and privilege to be coached by none other than @barnabysmithmusician and @katiejeffriesharris.

Here is a behind-the-scenes peek at us warming up before the session.

Making music and growing as musicians together - something money cannot buy and why we keep coming back together for more! ❤️

❤️ Blessed is She.

The dedication and grace that our Mothers bring forth into this world can never be simply described. They exhuberate tenderness likened to our Blessed Mother. As she bore the Saviour child, so too do they bear a miracle of God's children, bringing them into this world to know of His Greatness.

On this day, with the Lord watching over the Church just as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children, we pray for and honour these women with a spirit of profound respect. May their love and faith continue to shine forth in our world.

The Sancti Petri et Pauli Choir wishes all Mothers and Mothers-to-be a Blessed Mothers Day! Can you spot as many mother-daughter pairs in our social media posts? We've got another set on Facebook to look out for!

"I have risen, and I am with you still."
(cf. Psalm 138: 18; Introit for Easter Sunday - ‘Resurréxi’)

💛 Alleluia! The joyous season of Eastertide comes round every year, repeating that Jesus has Risen; yet each one seems more joyous than the last!

For our faith is rooted on the Son of God - who "began in Galilee, after John (the Baptist) had been preaching Baptism; ... going around doing good and curing all who had fallen... to the fact that they killed him by hanging him on a tree, yet three days afterwards God raised him to life and allowed him to be seen" (cf. Acts 10: 34, 37-40).

Christ, my hope, has risen! We know he is Truly Risen!

💛 Bear witness to the Good News together with our ministry, proclaiming the Alleluias stemming from 2000 years of tradition, with sacred music, 'keeping the feast with the unleavened bread of purity and truth!" (cf. 1 Corinthians: 5: 8)
For we wish the peace and joy of the Risen Christ to one and all!

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
(c.f. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

🧧The season of spring ushers in a new year filled with joyful hope and new beginnings. As we welcome the Chinese Lunar New Year, we give praise first and foremost to God from whom all blessings flow. But besides being grateful for our blessings, we in turn should be a blessing for others!

May this cultural occasion be one to experience relationships of affection and gestures of care. Let us foster “a society of solidarity and fraternity, where each person is recognized and welcomed in his or her inalienable dignity.” (c.f. Angelus of Pope Francis I, Feb 4 2024)

🍊From all of us at SPP Choir, we wish friends, near and far, a happy Lunar New Year - 新年快乐!🍊
