Thursday Night at the Gator!
Tonight’s Sales and any money you throw in The Great Blind Dog’s Tip Bucket are going directly to support Jasmyn King.
@kingjasmyn was in a car accident last Thursday and is still in critical condition in a UPMC ICU. We posted her GoFundMe earlier this week, but we’re going to support her, and her brilliant daughter Maeve Willow, for as long as it takes to get our girl back. Jasmyn’s always been one of the strongest of us, but she’s gonna need every iota of community, and support and love her people conform around her.

So come pack the house tonight. The Blind Dog starts @ 7pm.

it’s been exactly a year since a handful of exceptional creatures hiked up the windiest Pendleton county mountain in our best and blackest to celebrate the magick of a pair of my most very favorite people.

then we adopted our photographer, made a giant fire, sang Karaoke better than anyone ever has, and burnt the beejezus out of ourselves drinking hot tea out of recycled cider bottles because it was a effing freezing.

my heart is still full.

We think our Birthday game’s a bit better than basic, but we may be biased. Second competition in the books!

Took first place for the 90kg open class and PR’d each of my 3 lifts!.

Spent a lot of time getting my hips more mobile and incorporating some speed work into my training for the first time.

I learned a bunch this time around and very inspired to keep working on weaknesses and see where I can take this.

Special thanks to @divinefitcoach for all his guidance, @christina_lifts for getting some great pics and to @em_detemple for all your support!

1 year ago today…maybe the most memorable day of my life.

Every single action I took that day was all leading to one calculated moment.

Everything from when I started the 6 hr drive at 7am to meet you by surprise at the peak just as the sun was setting.

Never have I been so present for so long.

So crazy to me that’s it’s been a year…and that our wedding is actually not that far off.

More often than not, you need days like this every week. Or Atleast I do!

My initial intentions for the day was to mountain bike since the weather was so nice.

It may have been fun, but would have left me under recovered and probably not in the great physical and mental shape I feel today.

Making that time to still stay active but in a restorative and rejuvenating manner made all the difference in how I feel today in and out of the gym.

If you train hard, you need to take days off and take them seriously as well.

Steps, mobility, sunshine, low stress and good company is a sure formula to keep your body, mind and soul sharp.
