Politica is live! 💜

Politieke participatie van vrouwen is essentieel voor gendergelijkheid. Daarom zet alliantie Politica zich de komende jaren in voor duurzame gelijke representatie van vrouwen in al hun diversiteit in de politiek.

De alliantie is een samenwerkingsverband tussen WO=MEN, Stem op een Vrouw, de Nederlandse Vrouwenraad en Emancipator.

Wat gaan wij de komende jaren doen? Politica organiseert onder meer:
🟣 Trainingen en netwerkbijeenkomsten voor vrouwelijke aspiranten en politici
🟣 Onderzoek naar barrières die hen in de weg zitten
🟣 Leren van landen om ons heen
🟣 Samenwerken met overheden, politieke partijen en vrouwennetwerken

Ons eerste event is op 28 september: over wat mannen kunnen doen tegen vrouwenhaat in de politiek. Link in bio!

MY FAVOURITES - This picture was taken during the amazing Friends of @rutgersnl dinner, themed around contraception. Some of you may know that I've been campaigning to get birth control measures back into the Dutch basic health care system, as now women end up having to pay for the safe sex both males and females enjoy. This is discrimination and frankly backwards: family planning is not just the responsibility of women. The fantastic dinner during Dutch Design Week was styled by fab artists @joesmanon, and brought together some of the most interesting and inspirational forces in female empowerment, sexual liberation and equal rights issues in the Netherlands. As such subjects are extremely close to my heart, and I care a lot about the advancement of equality and freedom (also because being able to make your own choices makes it a lot easier to behave more sustainably), I thought I'd share some of the organisations I follow on social media, to be educated and motivated by. Please give them a follow - and know there are many more wonderful and impactful initiatives out there, by no means this list is conclusive. Do let me know what your top tips are, I'd love to learn from you. Big hug!
