Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 And Beyond!

Welcome back again to Day 15 of 31 in this month long Horror Video Games Extravaganza!

Directive 8020 is an interactive sci-fi survival-horror game by Supermassive Games.

So basically it's a game like until dawn, the Quarry, And several of the other dark picture anthology video games.

You control a cast of people.

You get the option to choose between dialogue which will affect the outcome.

For those of you who have been following me for many years, know that I've played all these games.

And that the primary objective is to always have everybody annihilated for the first playthrough.

And 9 out of 10 times. I am extremely successful at that.

Directive 80/20 kind of feels like a mix of John carpenters The thing but on a spaceship.

I had a lot of fun with the game. It wasn't very long but it was still entertaining.

If this sounds like fun, I'd say give it a go!

Have a great Night.

Thanks for checking out this post, we appreciate it.

NEW POD LIVE NOW... Episode 183: Armored Core 3 Portable (PSP), Halloween Forever (PS Vita)

ALL EPISODES IN LINK IN BIO

Last week was 'Obscure October' on LLVL podcast. This week it's 'Handheld Halloween' as we take our PSP/PS Vita's for a scary spin around the neighbourhood. Will our review pairing be a trick or treat?

Firstly, we chat about our favourite Halloween memories and decide we don't really have any! We also briefly check in on the state of the PlayStation TV in 2026.

(Timestamp: 00:00 - 08:00)

As for reviews, Rich heads over to one of FromSoftware's scariest video game entries EVER... Armored Core 3 (2009, PSP). The game may not be set in Lordran, Dranglec or Lotrhic but what could be more frightening than a poorly realised handheld port where AI rules a post-apocalyptic world?!

(Timestamp: 08:00 - 29:30)

After we just about escape the previous haunting critique, we take a trip down to the pumpkin patch which just so happens to be the much more jovial setting of Halloween Forever (2016, PS Vita).

Part 'Ghosts & Goblins', part 'Zombies Ate my Neighbours', does this homemade indie fill Fazz full of spooky spirit?

(Timestamp: 29:30 - End)

Don't ghost this one... Enjoy the pod!

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 and Beyond!

Welcome to Day 9 of 31 in this.month long Horror video game extravaganza!

Resident Evil 4 is my favorite Resident Evil game.

I own a few copies of it.

I bought a briefcase earlier this summer to do a Resident Evil 4 post which I did do.

I looked at my shelf and realized that mainly everything was still in that briefcase from the summer.

So here's your photo of the day.

Did I mention that I highly recommend Resident Evil 4 regardless of the version.

Although my favorite version is the Wii version.

Have a great Night.

NEW POD LIVE NOW... 182: Water Margin: A Tale of Cloud & Winds (Mega Drive), Ghosthunter (PS2)

ALL EPISODES IN LINK IN BIO

Welcome to another edition of #FreeplayFortnightly where we both pick a video game that we want to play and keep it secret from our co-host. We then review each game on the podcast and ask our co-host to score the game out of 10 based on our review. Simple? You bet we are!

The games we've picked out for random review this week are:

• Water Margin: A Tale of Clouds & Wind (1996, Sega Mega Drive via Evercade)

• Ghosthunter (2003, PS2)

We've hit spooky season guys and we all know what that means when it comes to video game reviews right? That's right... it's #obscureoctober!

How obscure do you like your video games? How about an unlicensed Sega Mega Drive game that was only initially released in Far Eastern markets and has finally found a home on Steam & Evercade?

Enter Water Margin: A Tale of Cloud & Winds (1996, Sega Mega Drive), a side scrolling beat 'em up with magic elements that Debbie McGee would be proud of.

Timestamp (04:30-17:00)

If that doesn't tickle your fancy, how about Ghosthunter (2003, PS2), one of the best looking PS2 games you've probably not bothered playing. Is it still pretty in 2026? Yes. Is it still pretty crappy in 2026? Ahem...

Timestamp (17:00-End)

Why not find out on this week's episode of the most obscure video games podcast sat in your podfeed?

Living la what now??? Enjoy the pod!

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 And Beyond

Welcome officially to Day 1 of 31 in this month long horror video game extravaganza!

My previous post was just a preserve to 31 days.

It was also a b-roll photo with.

So inspiration hit me and I decided to take a new photo for the day.

Still Wakes the Deep is a first-person narrative horror video game set on an isolated oil rig in 1975 where a routine drilling operation unleashes an otherworldly entity.

There's no combat in this game, you are platforming elements and there are puzzle elements.

The story is fantastic in my opinion.

The follow-up DLC was also exceptionally really good.

I highly recommend this game.

If this sounds like fun, I'd say give it a go!

Have a great Night.

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 And Beyond!

I'm a big fan of the bioshock games from back in the day.

I played one two a lot over the years.

But I've neglected the third one for most of the time.

Tonight I think I actually may check some of it out again.

Bio Shock Infinite is a time-travel and parallel-universe story about a disgraced ex-Pinkerton agent named Booker DeWitt who must rescue a young woman with reality-bending powers from a floating city.

If this sounds like fun, I'd say give it a go!

Have a great Night.

Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 And Beyond!

Silent Hill: Townfall is a 2026 first-person survival-horror game.

First-Person Survival: Players navigate tight, claustrophobic spaces and use stealth, distractions, and breakable melee weapons or scarce firearms to survive.

Set in 1996, the story begins when an American named Simon Ordell washes ashore the chilly, fog-drenched Scottish island town of St. Amelia.

He wakes up dazed with a hospital ID bracelet on his wrist and an IV drip still attached, seemingly seeking redemption for a past sin.

The narrative deals heavily with trauma, guilt, corporate greed, and environmental mismanagement, occasionally switching perspectives to other playable characters like a guilt-ridden nurse named Zoe......

Sounds like HELL already.

If this sounds like fun, I'd say give it a go!

Have a great Night.

🤪 "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" 🥴

My 'Street Fighter 6' journey started inauspiciously. I voted to go with Kimberly and it took me TWENTY THREE bouts before I won my first vs a 'Sim Sim V Rival'.

These are the computer-controlled opponent generated by the game. These AI fighters are built using data from thousands of real online matches across different skill tiers so it was a good test to start with.

I got my ass kicked basically! Rich (podcast co-host & fighting game extraordinaire) suggested I try Cammy out instead.

Immediately I won my very first battle and then ended up with a 50% win rate in my first 10 Sim Sim battles. A marked improvement on my 4% win rate prior to that 🤣

Have you ever taken a long time to just learn a game and not learned from your experience?!?

I can't wait to talk about my rookie journey in the new year on the podcast!
