It actually started with the table. Before the logo, before the little red chair, and before we knew what all of this would look like, there was one phrase we kept coming back to: There’s always room for one more. The table means a lot to us. It’s where people gather, where food and coffee are shared, where conversations turn into friendships, and where somehow, there’s always a way to pull up another chair. That idea has been at the heart of The Outsiders from the beginning. So when it came time to give all of this an identity, the table stayed. And naturally, we pulled up a chair. There’s always room for one more. 🤎 P.S. Just realized there’s no table emoji.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CONFETTI CAKE PROJECT!! WE ARE 1 YEAR OLD!!! YAYYY! 🩷✨🧁🌊🫧 one full year of mental health awareness, encouragement, and love being spread by a little instagram project started on a random afternoon. I want to really highlight and emphasize that this year has taken a VILLAGE under God. SO many people have given their time, resources, and prayer to fuel this project! Thank you for every single donation, purchase, dm, gift, repost, picture, EVERYTHING. We serve such a big and awesome God. I am SO GRATEFUL!!! this prayer is my screensaver right now!! one of my best friends @ememariedesign made it🫶🫶 the idea of opening my hands and releasing control has always been a hard one for me. it seems like i always want to hold onto my hurt, fear, sadness, progress, or even confusion and figure it out myself. the human condition is wanting to muscle through life. the Lord is so kind to help us open our hands and stop white knuckling “our life” that really belongs to Him. i pray you know you’re not alone in the struggle to open your hands- but feel encouraged to know it’s the best thing you can do. i had the opportunity to speak at my high school this friday about Jesus and mental health, and wow was that a testament to God having to pry open my clenched fists. oh what our God can do with our open hands 🤎

no room in this house for an anxious heart- by Chris Renzema This song has been the most influential piece of art in my life for the past year. The first time I heard it, my world was changed. I even got the word “room” tattooed on my finger last winter so that I can look at it, take a deep breath, and remember that there is room for me in the house of God no matter what I am dealing with. I had never felt so understood and comforted by a song in my whole life. I want to share it with you praying that it touches you in the same way. My whole life, I questioned whether there was room in God’s house for my anxious heart. I truly believed that my struggle with mental illness just meant that I did not deserve God’s love or grace. I thought it meant that my faith was not strong enough… because if I couldn’t muster up the strength to trust the ALL POWERFUL God and not be anxious… that must mean He will never want me, right? Have you ever felt that?! That could not be further from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every sinner and sufferer is welcome at His table! The song says: “Is it true there’s no room in this house for an anxious heart? Does that mean I have to leave, go and find another place to start? Or does it mean You’re kind enough to save me? Does it mean You’re good enough to change me? When the fear sets in and I don’t know what to do That You’re the Prince of Peace, and my heart belongs to You” Yes there is room in this house for your anxious, depressed, suicidal, self harming, obsessive compulsive, angry, etc, heart. And no, you do not have to flee from God to start healing. You do not have to find another place to start. He is kind enough to save you and even change you. You don’t have to stay stuck, He wants to pull you out. in the midst of a panic attack or in the darkest valley. You are welcome to come into His presence and talk to Him. He is for you. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”‬ ‭ “such a time as this” is encouraging Esther to take a leap of faith without knowing the outcome. God has planted you where you are for a reason, a reason much bigger than we will ever be able to understand. The Lord chose you to be where you are and will hold your hand to guide you through it all. new seasons can be scary! but you are being led by the LOVING Father.
