💔🎨 Farewell Party for Charlie🎨💔

Charlie is heading back to NOLA, and we are sad to see him go! He has accomplished so much in the 6 months he was in Dothan.

💥10 summer art camps
💥2 eight-week kids’ art classes
💥4 weeks of adult classes
💥3 adult workshops
💥2 outdoor art installations in Downtown Dothan

For us @bellsgallery, it has been so fun having him in the studio working, sharing his in-depth knowledge of all this art, making us laugh, and occasionally fussing at us. 😂

We’d love for you to join us in giving Charlie a proper send-off on October 22 from 5:30-8:00! Come hang out, celebrate his time with us, and buy some art from him to lighten his travel load as he heads back to New Orleans. 💜

Come help us send him off with lots of love (and maybe a little fussing of our own)! 🥂🎨

🧙‍♀️✨ Get a little witchy with clay! ✨🧙‍♀️

Join us Wednesday, October 21st at Bell’s Gallery for a fun and creative clay class led by NOLA based artist Charlie Mabry, where you’ll create your very own Kitchen Witch! 🏺🧹

Kitchen witches have a long tradition in European folklore. Often depicted as small, whimsical figures placed in the kitchen, they were believed to bring good luck, protection, prosperity, and a little extra magic to the home. In some traditions, the kitchen witch was thought to keep food from burning and protect the household from mishaps. Over time, these charming figures became a beloved symbol of warmth, hospitality, and the magic of home.

Now you get to make your own! 🎨

Come spend an evening working with clay, learning from Charlie, and creating a one-of-a-kind kitchen witch to take home. Whether she’s mischievous, magical, or downright spooky, your witch will be uniquely yours!

Join us for a two-part Phone Photography Workshop on Tuesday, October 20 & Tuesday, October 27 and learn how to take more intentional, beautiful, and interesting photos—using the phone you already have.

📸 In the first class, we’ll learn how to use your phone’s camera settings to capture the best possible photos, along with tips for finding unique compositions, interesting details, light, angles, and moments.

🌿 The second class will take us out into the field! We’ll meet after-hours at Dothan Nurseries to put our photography skills into practice and explore the nursery with a photographer’s eye.

Then we’ll head back to Bells Gallery, where we’ll learn how to edit our photos, select our favorites, and print our images. We’ll finish by discussing our photographs and what makes an image successful.

Whether you’re a beginner or someone who wants to get more out of your phone camera, this workshop is all about learning to photograph in a new way.💛

📅 Tuesday, October 20 5:15-7:00
📅 Tuesday, October 27 5:15-7:00
📍 Bells Gallery + Dothan Nurseries

Come learn, explore, create, and leave with photographs you’re proud to print and share!
