a long overdue post….

cy5, words will never be enough, this year changed my life in more ways that i could ever have possibly imagined. couldnt be more blessed to have gone through everything, all of the ups and downs, with all of my best friends and my forever family! i love u all

To the love, the joy, the laughter, the cries, to the encouraging pep talks, and late night conversations.

To the “see you tomorrow”, the “I love you goodnight”, the “we can do hard things”, “I’m proud of you”, “you got this”, “I beleive in you.”

To the constant support, unlimited inspiration, the hard work and dedication, to the long dance days where our brains were dead and feet were numb.

To the wild road trips, night outs, gym sessions, simple conversations and every little moment in between that made this experience what it was

But truly to the time and people that have let me be the most beautiful version of myself

There truly is no place like CLI, as I wouldn’t trade these past 10 months for the world. Thank you @teddyforance, all of the faculty at @cliconservatory, and all of CY5 for giving me the most special place that I was lucky enough to call home. No words can come close to expressing the love I have for this past year. 🤍

My time at CLI…

I honestly don’t know what else to say. This place changed me in every aspect of my life. Joining Year 5 of CLI was the best decision I’ve ever made.

I learned what it truly means to love and be loved in so many different ways. I learned that growth isn’t linear, and that the difficult moments are just as important as the victories. I gained so much knowledge about this industry, but even more importantly, I learned so much about myself. I’ll always be grateful for this experience.

To @teddyforance : Thank you for seeing something in me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of this program. It has genuinely changed my life, and I can’t thank you enough for believing in me.

To @nichols14 Thank you for understanding the way I move. From the very first class, I knew you were a choreographer with a vision, and you proved that over and over again. Your perspective on performance, storytelling, and this industry is something every dancer should experience. You’re truly a legend.

To @riileywaatts : My teacher, mentor, and improv partner. I’m incredibly grateful to have trained and danced alongside you. Every time we dance together, it feels like we’re speaking the same language—something I’ve never experienced before. Thank you for bringing so much intention, care, and thoughtfulness into every class and every student you teach. The dance world needs more artists, teachers, and people like you.

To the boys: Thank you for being some of the most talented, genuine, and hilarious people I’ve ever met. Every rehearsal, every conversation, and every laugh meant more than you know. I’m so grateful I got to share this experience with all of you.

But this isn’t the end.

Attention Rochester, MN dancers ‼️ Emerson Domnick will be holding drop-in master classes for dancers ages 13+, on the dates listed below, from 12-1pm.

July 11th (jazz)
July 18th (hip hop)
August 15th (contemporary)
August 22nd (jazz funk)

Each class will cost $15 per dancer! Cash or Venmo to Emerson-Domnick.

Be sure to bring water, sneakers for hip hop and jazz funk, and wear an outfit you feel comfortable dancing in! We can’t wait to see you there! 💙🧡

I can’t believe my 10 months at cli are over. the one question I asked myself before I began the program was will I regret it… and the answer is absolutely not. this was one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. the people i’ve learned from, the people i’ve connected with, the challenges i’ve passed, and so much more. not only am I a better dancer, but a better human being because of those i’ve been surrounded by.

thank you @teddyforance for having a dream and letting us be apart of it. you’ve created the most perfect community to learn and dance with! thank you @nichols14 for your words of wisdom. you should seriously start your own book lol. thank you @riileywaatts & @stephshumway for making ballet enjoyable again. I never expected to walk out of here missing the last ballet class. thank you @jennip1021 for whipping me into shape and treating me like one of your own! thank you @caseygonzo for helping me understand how important mind/body connection & find my powerhouse ;) thank you @krysiastcyr & @whosyourkuya for putting a smile on my face everyday and always being here for me! and last but not least thank you @kaiamasenior for supporting me constantly and kicking my ass in endurance 😛

you’ve gotta experience it to understand it. cli isn’t just a program, it’s a home 🫀
