🦊📖✍️🏼 I had a wonderful time attending @rozzieboundbooks's "The Lilac People" Book Discussion with @todd_milo and @aidengracesmith! 💜🦁 The author does not do photography at their book events, so to accommodate, here is my cosplay of their animated mascot, and you can swipe to the picture of the book to check out the read on your own time and support! Milo was gifted with a Chocolate Babka and Lemon Poppyseed Babka from @bakeybabka.✍️🏼📖🦊

Next chapter loading… 👩🏼‍🎓

This weekend, I graduated from Emerson College with my Master of Fine Arts degree in Popular Fiction and Publishing. I often shortened this to Creative Writing when asked what I was studying, but my program specifically allowed me to study genre fiction and become an expert on the publishing industry.

This program transformed me both as a writer and a person, and I couldn’t be prouder of that journey. It’s been quite an experience writing a book for the first time, and while it’s not finished yet, having guidance throughout my thesis semester and turning in 120+ pages of edited work feels like a huge step in going from having a handful of chapters to a manuscript.

As always, thank you to everyone for listening to me talk about my love of the romance genre, writing, and my book as I’ve been creating it. I am beyond grateful for the love and support and can’t wait to continue sharing this journey with you all here! 💜

🦁💜👩🏾‍🎓It's official..This bookish girlie officially has both a Bachelor's and a Master's under her belt!🥰📚 I am not only proud of achieving this milestone, but I was extremely honored that 3 years after meeting @hwinkler4real
at @fanexpoboston, (see last photo), he would be our keynote speaker for Emerson's Commencement Ceremony last night! (Thank you so much for your phenomenal speech, the Emerson College community loves you!🥰 *Inserts Fonzie voice* Aaayyyee👍🏽) As I turn the page to the next chapter of my story, a new adventure is about to begin! Change can be..scary..but, starting anew is no different from a caterpillar becoming a butterfly🦋, it might be worrisome to fly to a great height, but wouldn't it be wonderful to touch the sky?👩🏾‍🎓💜🦁

I’m thrilled to share that my third novel, Chasing Shadows in Borrowed Light is releasing on the 4th of April 2026, in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

This novel was conceived during my time at the @uiiwp where my friend @smithmyth and I would sit for hours with coffee and cookies writing away until one of us decided it was time to go thrift shopping.

There are so many people I have to thank who have in some way contributed to this novel knowingly and unknowingly. A gigantic thanks to my wonderful publisher Kira my insightful editor Rachel, and my agent Pramudith who have treated this novel with utmost care.

Here is a brief excerpt:

Spanning New York, Karachi, New Jersey, and Melbourne, the story follows four friends bound by a shared past that refuses to stay buried. At the heart of the story is Areen, a brilliant but troubled artist whose sudden silence draws her oldest friends back into her orbit, where each friend is forced to confront the lives they’ve built, the wounds they’ve carried, and the ties that still hold them together.

Tagging my wonderful reading/writing sisters/friends on the post as well - who have always supported my journey whether it’s moderating my book events, a good pep talk, a gentle read and or online support. I am so very grateful for you.

Where will we meet again? 🧶

As a mystery writer, I’m always thinking about clues & connections… & human lives behind the headlines. Books help me make sense of things (& share joy & pain). Want to make sense of craziness together?

I’ll be reading & signing DIVINE RUIN this spring & summer in AZ, MA, CA, RI, LA. & joining in conversation with incredible artists. Would love to see you there. xx

Despite having spent the last 3.5 years earning a degree centered around writing, I’m at a loss for words. 😅 It’s hard to express how much this means to me, how much I learned, how grateful I am to my whole support network of family, friends, mentors - my time at @emersonpopfic has been the experience of a lifetime. 💜💜💜
