What is Juné?

An itinerant cultural project in Madrid by two filmmakers, for film and the people who make it, watch it, and argue about it after. A bridge between the international creative community and the artists who’ve made this city home, where different traditions, languages and ways of seeing meet.

We curate cinematic experiences, run workshops, and host residencies. In time, a place of our own. For now, we start where we most wanted to, in the dark, in front of a screen, together.

Perdidos is out nowwwww 🌬️I didn’t know how to call it, not gonna lie, but it feels right because I’m always between these two worlds, but never fully in any of them. [let me explain]
Perdidos comes from Lost in translation (my last EP). Making a Spanish version of things i felt in one of those worlds is scary and exciting in equal parts and a very interesting exercise for someone that misses home but refuses to come back. After taking some time from the original tunes, you get to see things from a different perspective. It’s like counting to 10 before replying to something very emotional. This made me think of Joni Mitchell today, maybe being a bit closer to seeing the clouds from both sides. This means feeling a bit closer to home and the things that I miss from it 🐛

It makes me happy to release it with with someone whose music I love and respect so much @umonski and it makes me even happier to release it under a new home founded by people i love, trust and respect so much @casanueve 🏠
@emevalencia has been the biggest support in the creative process since we met. So it made sense to take her and Uma by the hand for this project 🦕

my debut ep is now all yours. i’m such a proud mumma.

i took some time away from london to write and record this collection of love songs. forming the arch of a fleeting romance - from infatuation to ick.

conjured up with the mighty @iamsalpa with help from @umonski and @liammakesmusic i couldn’t be more grateful to all the creatives who made this project what it is. love to @rhysjiang who blessed us with additional kit @hugomhardy for the incredible mix and @tuffmastering for the final sprinkling of magic

shooting the cover art with @harvpearson in the midst of a thunder storm is a moment i’ll never forget 🕊️
