words can not express my ♥️ for Budapest

Last year, the hardest decision was deciding to not fly back to NY - but to stay in Hungary during my last trimester & BIRTH my baby in a foreign country.
Away from my family, my support & my doctors.

Almost 10 months later … saying goodbye to Budapest has brought our whole family to tears. My heart is broken leaving this stunning city. The city where Ronin became this impressive, strong little lady. The city that engulfed us in love, beauty & adventures. The people who created a new normal & most importantly - a safe home. I wouldn’t have survived postpartum abroad without the help from so many.

Thank you Kiki, Christin, Marianna, Tamás, Bence, Eszter, Abi, Zsofi, Doreen, Patrick, Anthony and Gabor.

Until the next film or relocation ;)

How it started … 🧩 how it’s going.
Not sure the last time I’ve done a puzzle. But man, are they fun. I’m going to brag and say I’m pretty good at them.
What a great activity for an insomniac pregnant woman and her family. Ronin was a huge help!!!! (… helping my type A personality to calm down, as she preferred to take pieces apart)

I often wish I could go back in time and give myself a big hug… the kind of hug that you desperately need when you are completely overwhelmed, stressed, exhausted, constantly hustling, often doubting… but trying to look like you “got this” 🥺

The hardheaded girl that stubbornly knew if we “just kept swimming” that it would somehow work out… I wish I could hug her and tell her that despite the odds, and how exhausted she was, it would work out. 💖

Because it will work out.
It does work out.
Hard work ALWAYS wins.
Even if victory looks slightly differently than you imagine….

You get amazing friends.
Amazing horses you could only daydream about as a kid.
An amazing parter and amazing bonus kid.
And this view.
Every morning.
Because you never gave up.
And even if you had to cry in the bathroom in between teaching lessons, or work hours that no sane person would continuously, or get the most quirky horses no one else would take on, or whatever the particular effort was… you never gave up.

I never gave up. I still do not give up.

And it’s worth it. It’s so worth it.

Life is hard y’all.
Celebrate the victories.
And just. keep. swimming
