Claire & Emily share about their friendship through Phi Mu

“Ever since Claire and I kept bumping into each other week after week our first semester in Phi Mu, I knew I had met a friend. At the time, I didn’t know that Claire would become my very best friend. Our friendship blossomed freshman year, and I later asked to join her group of roommates to live in the Phi Mu house. I had no idea that moving in with Claire would become one of my most cherished memories of college, and remaining roommates with her for three years would shape a college journey full of blessings, all thanks to Phi Mu. We graduate in just a few weeks, and will move to different cities, but I know that our friendship will defy the distance. Thank you, Claire, for being my best friend, all the giggles, and helping me grow into the person I am today.” Emily Hoppenworth PC 23

“I met Emily in the first few weeks at Phi Mu and with a simple “Do you want to be roommates?” she’s been my why Phi Mu ever since. Over the last four years, she has taught me what it’s like to always have someone by your side and helped me navigate every crazy phase of college. I simply cannot imagine what IU would have been like without her. Her radiating personality and genuine nature has brought more laughter and adventure into my life than words could ever describe. I am beyond lucky to have her as my life long best friend to explore the world and celebrate so many future milestones with. I absolutely think that everyone needs to find a Hoppy in their life. Love you forever and ever 🤗🫶🏼 👩🏼‍🎓” Claire Pohlman PC 23
