scans from my fmp ‘i’ll be your mirror’ 🫂

I’ll Be Your Mirror is a photographic exploration of the act of mirroring – the behaviour in which one person subconsciously imitates the gesture, speech pattern, or attitude of another.

Often occurring between close friends or family, it can be a subtle form of non-verbal communication that usually happens without the participants being aware of it. The phenomenon is believed to foster a sense of connection between individuals, offering feelings of safety, familiarity and belonging.

This book focuses on mirroring through dress, with a literal and metaphorical theme of patterns throughout as a nod to contemporary trends and trend culture.

Featuring 36 people over 64 pages, it includes archival images dating back to 2021 taken across the UK and Europe.

It is an ode to all of my mirrors and best friends, to whom this book is dedicated. Love u.
