More January crumbs 📸

It’s funny, because a month ago I thought I’d be training for a spring marathon, and here I am now… craving much less movement (and intensity) because that’s what feels good.

I recognized I’m preparing to do one of the biggest life things I’ll experience - move across the entire country. The task itself is going to be no small feat… then I quickly realized there’s SO much more that goes along with it.

When I felt the “grind mode, find a way to make it work” mentality start to feel forced, and allowed myself to shift to “take a step back and enjoy this...”

I felt happier. Because it all felt simple, and lighter.

As a successful business owner, running coach, and runner who loves training hard and chasing big goals - I have to remind myself that seasons of maintenance also have purpose. They don’t equal failure.

I’m actually really excited to focus on the basics right now in both business and running. No new projects, no new tasks, no new races….

Just taking care of my athletes.
Moving in a way that makes me feel good.
And having the breathing room to enjoy this amazing adventure with my hubby 🤍

Accidentally moved to St. Lucia for 10 days 🏝️

5 days turned 10 days in St. Lucia 🇱🇨

This trip ended up being an unreal one. The views were as beautiful as I hoped, the food and drinks were delish… but the people we met, and the time to disconnect are what really made it amazing 🤍

This was a trip we planned on once Will got accepted into his masters program - because we knew it was going to be our celebration (and deep breath moment) before taking on our next life chapter.

Now, didn’t expect to be here double the time planned, but hey… I won’t complain about being “stuck” for 5 more days in the Caribbean while we got over a foot a snow back at home 😂

With that - a shoutout to my athletes for allowing me to be more unplugged while away. I haven’t done that for that long since our honeymoon back in 2018 🤍

Of course my biz partner @chrissy.nich.runs for holding down the fort at @relentlessrunners - she’s truly been grinding like no other, being supportive of me as I gear up for my move and this trip. Ilysm!

Okay… no time for me to brace myself for the rest of this flight to go from 85 and sunny to single and negative digit temps ❄️
