WHY GO GREEK?

Emily (‘25) & Bianca (‘25) came to Arizona from different states and found their home away from home in Alpha Chi Omega, along with a friendship they’ll have for life. 🫶🏻✨

Coming to the University of Arizona from different states, neither of us knew what to expect. We ended up living next door to each other on the same floor in our dorm, and that’s where our friendship first began. Going through recruitment together made such a big campus feel a little smaller, and by Bid Day, we were running home to Alpha Chi Omega side by side! 💗

Since then, Alpha Chi has given us so much more than just a place to belong. From serving together on our Marketing and Sisterhood Committees to creating memories we’ll never forget, we’ve found a community that has helped us grow as leaders, students, and friends. Looking back, we can’t imagine our college experience without the sisterhood that brought us together.

Rushing a sorority without knowing anyone was intimidating at first, but the moment I stepped into Alpha Chi Omega, I instantly felt like I had found a place where I could truly be myself. Moving to Arizona from Michigan was a huge change, and I wasn’t sure if I would fit in or if Greek life was even for me. After finding Alpha Chi, I immediately felt welcomed and knew I had found my home away from home :)

Running home on Bid Day with Bianca is still one of my favorite college memories. Through Alpha Chi, I’ve met so many incredible women, and I can’t wait to continue making memories with them throughout college.

As a Retail and Consumer Science major, I was immediately drawn to the opportunity to join our Marketing Committee. Serving as our TikTok Chair has allowed me to combine my passion with leadership while creating positive, uplifting content that showcases the genuine sisterhood within AXO.

As I look ahead to my sophomore year, I can’t help but reflect on how much Alpha Chi Omega has shaped my college experience. Moving to Arizona from California, I only knew a couple of people on campus, but joining AXO gave me an immediate sense of comfort, belonging, and lifelong sisterhood.
