The Ladies of SMU Track & Field cap off their debut season in the ACC competing on the outdoor circuit in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Mustangs stepped up to the challenge, fighting to the end, with appearances in several finals, leaving the championships with huge performances, personal bests, a school record, and bringing some hardware back to The Hilltop. History has been cemented this year, new beginnings, long road, but onward and upwards from here on out! #ponyup

Last night in the 10,000m, @emilylittle_runner broke into the SMU Top 10 All-Time list. She ran 35:10.90 for a PB and 10th All-Time at SMU. 👏

Haha, your boy broke the suit and Rollie out for this one. The second of only two photos I’m in with the team, shame. I’ve managed to finally make it to graduation this year, after fumbling the ball last year. What a ride it has been with these lovely ladies. I’m still in shock how I’ve managed to convince this track team that this Skinny Asian Hobo was qualified enough to document and create art for them around the clock. I’ve dedicated the last 2 1/2 years following this team at every meet & most practices documenting every move, step, jump, leap, attempt, lap, start, finish, sneeze, breathe, lows, and highs especially for these graduates. It’s incredibly bittersweet knowing it’s the last hoorah for the lot of you the following week, and more tragically, the last time I’ll see y’all in person. It has truly been an honor and blessing for me to not only follow y’all, but get to know each of you, everyday I feel incredibly fortunate & grateful to have these opportunities, and more deeply, accepted into your lives for a little stint. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Gabby, Flora, KK, Kendall, Leoni, Em, Rae, May, & Emily, for supporting me, motivating me, the laughs, being great company, facilitating in bettering my craft, giving me something/someone to chase after, humoring me, allowing me to stick a camera in your face at every chance, and of course, putting all your trust in me. I will always overdeliver for you. At this point, I can only wish y’all the absolute best and look forward to what God has in store for your futures. Thank you for allowing me to create lasting memories in the form of photos & film in this small chapter of your lives, I will forever cherish this huge library you’ve let me create, and hope that y’all can look back on in admiration and nostalgia. With all the love I can muster for you ladies, Congratulations. This one’s for the SMU Track and Field Class of 2025! I will miss you all, please don’t forget me!
